Delhi Local Branch Office–I (DLBO-I), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), successfully conducted Manak Samvad, an interactive programme for newly granted licensees, on 19 January 2026 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Rohini, New Delhi.
The programme was organized with the objective of strengthening quality consciousness, promoting standardization, and fostering collaboration between BIS and industry stakeholders. The event also marked an important milestone with the presentation of License Certificates to newly granted BIS licensees, in recognition of their commitment to the manufacture of quality products.
A total of 48 licensees participated in the programme. The participating licensees were also felicitated through the distribution of Grant of Licence (GOL). The sessions highlighted the role of standards in driving industrial growth, fostering innovation, and enhancing India’s global competitiveness. Presentations and interactive discussions provided valuable insights into BIS initiatives and emphasized the importance of compliance with Indian Standards.
The programme concluded with active interaction and networking among participants, facilitating a constructive exchange of views and reinforcing BIS’s mission of promoting quality and excellence across industries.
Feedback was also obtained from all participating licensees, which provided useful inputs for further improvement of BIS services and stakeholder engagement.
