On 26 August 2026, Shri Kamdam Sikom, APPS, Commandant, 2nd IRBn BHQ Diyun, accompanied by Shri George Lungphi, APPS, Deputy Commandant, 2nd IRBn BHQ Diyun, conducted an inspection of the completed infrastructure development works at the Battalion Headquarters.

The inspection covered the infrastructure development works for the Multipurpose Hall, Water Tank, Safety Tank, and Obstacles/Training facilities. The officers reviewed the quality of the works and assessed the facilities for their proper functioning, utility, and overall maintenance.

The inspection reflects the Battalion’s continued commitment towards improving infrastructure, welfare facilities, and training resources for its personnel.

SHOK PARADE HELD IN HONOUR OF LATE HC (SG) CHOW ALINGTA MANSAI OF 2nd IRBn DIYUN.

On 31-07-2026, a solemn Shok Parade was conducted by the 2nd IRBn at the native village of Late HC (SG) Chow Alingta Mansai to pay heartfelt tribute following his untimely demise due to natural causes while on duty.

The ceremony was attended by officers, subordinate officers, jawans, family members, village elders, and local residents, who gathered to offer their final respects. A ceremonial guard honoured the departed officer, followed by a moment of silence as a mark of respect for his dedicated service, discipline, and commitment to duty.

On behalf of all ranks of 2nd IRBn Diyun, heartfelt condolences were conveyed to the bereaved family. Prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for strength and comfort to the family during this difficult time.

Late HC (SG) Chow Alingta Mansai sincere service and devotion to duty will always be remembered with respect and gratitude. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

On 26th June 2026, 2nd IRBn BHQ Diyun observed the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with great enthusiasm and active participation from officers, Men and students of EMW School, Diyun.
The promgramme commaned with a mass awareness rally where participants spread the message on the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of a drug-free society.
A Valleyball compitition was also organized to promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage youth to stay away from drugs through sports.
To create awareness through creativity a Painting Competition on the theme "Drug abuse and its prevention" was conducted amoung the students of EMW School. During the programme all the
Participants took a pledge against drug abuse and were sensitized about the preventive measures, ill effect of norcotic substance and to collective responsibility of society in combating the drug menace.

On the occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day, a yoga session was organized at 2nd IRBn Headquarters, Diyun on 21 June 2026.

On the occasion of the 12th International day of Yoga, 2nd IRBN BHQ Diyun celebrated the event today i.e 21/6/26. All the officers and personnel including the students of 2nd IRBN EMW School participated in the Yoga session. Regards.

For the overall development and welfare of 2nd IRBn BHQ Diyun, various infrastructure development works on self help basic and other oriented activities are being conducted under the able guidance and visionary leadership of our Commandant Shri Kamdam Sikom Sir.
This efforts will not only improve the overall functioning of the battalion but also boost the moral, welfare and well being of all ranks serving of 2nd IRBn.

On 23rd March 2026, 2nd IRBN HQ, Diyun bid a heartfelt farewell to Commandant Ms. Swati Singh, IPS on her transfer as SP, Pake Kessang.
Her dedicated leadership, commitment, and concern for all ranks have left a lasting impact on the battalion. She will always be remembered as a guiding force and an inspiring leader.
We wish her continued success in her new assignment.
