On September 28, 2026, the Food Safety Department conducted inspections across hotels, resorts, and grocery shops in Gaurisagar and Joysagar, Sivasagar. During the drive, 20 sweet samples were collected for analysis along with grocery samples sent to SPHL Guwahati, while Total Polar Compound (TPC) levels across all inspected establishments were verified within safe limits. A follow-up visit to Pareek Hotel in Gaurisagar confirmed full compliance following a kitchen reconstruction, and unregistered grocery operators were strictly directed to secure their FSSAI registrations immediately.

On 25/09/2026, a FSW drive along with inspections on various hotels and restaurants and grocery shop has been conducted at Bidyapur and Mulagaon bazar under Bongaigaon district. Different types of food samples were tested at FSW Lab. and enforced samples of food also drawn for necessary analysis. An awareness done among FBOs about food safety.

On 25/09/2026 ,an awareness and surveillance drive was conducted amongst the Street Food Vendors by the FSW Team,Sonitpur near ISBT Tezpur. During the drive the FBOs were instructed to maintain personal hygiene and sanitation of the food preparation areas in and around the carts,check for expiry dates and to refrain from using newspapers and other printed papers while serving and storing food and not to use excessive synthetic colourants on food and it's harmful effects on health.They were also instructed to obtain FSSAI registration.Used Cooking oil samples were tested and discarded on the spot.
