'THE LEGISLATOR'
The journey of a half hearted Barrister to a veteran Legislator.
In the many splendoured personality of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, a fair appraisal of his role vis-a-vis in the Judiciary of India which influenced his legal career that too in a frosty manner.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s father, Motilal Nehru was a leading lawyer in the city of Allahabad. Following his father’s footsteps, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru too pursued law from the Inner Temple in 1912 where he was trained to be a Barrister. Pursuant to his return from the United Kingdom, Jawaharlal Nehru did not meet with much success at the barand came to resent the legal profession thinking of it as rather mundane may be he was bestowed upon to serve the nation as a true leader of the next modern India which was his next mission.
In 26th January, 1950, when India became a republic within the Commonwealth of Nations, Nehru became the Republic of India's first prime minister. He embarked on an ambitious program of economic, social, and political reforms and became the architect of modern India.
Later, Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru got decorated with the Bharat Ratna on 15th of July, 1955 for his tremendous contribution towards the nation.
Photo Courtesy: The photographs were captured inside The Teen Murti Bhavan (Teen Murti House; formerly known as Flagstaff House) which was built by British as the residence of the Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He stayed there for 16 years until his death on 27 May 1964. Interestingly, our predecessors kept close relationship with the Nehru family since pre independence days which is time immemorial. Lot of warm regards to all.

'MY JOURNEY WITH THE GHOSTS'
More than four decades ago, at that time, I was too young and a college-going boy. My father asked me to visit the native village of my grandfather, situated at Balijan, Gohpur, Assam (India), with his Ambassador Car, where I would have to drop my cousin brother, who suffered from physical complications. The day on which I traveled to the said destination, it came under the monsoon season. Everywhere there was heavy rainfall, and the people could come on the road hardly. After the dinner at about 10.30, I departed from the said native village to Tezpur alone with the said car. When I reached Hawajan at midnight, I noticed a sharp turning on the Highway and was showering heavy rainfall. Even the wipers were found helpless despite that car was moving at high speed, and I was in the driving seat. I saw a giant Banyan Tree nearby the roadside when the light of the car fell on it. On that midnight, under the said tree, I saw two beautiful young girls who raised their hands to stop my car. I stopped the car, and so politely, I inquired about what they intended from me. Pleasantly both the beautiful young girls requested a lift to Biswanath Chariali with a smile. I could not ignore the humble request and said yes to them. I had given them comfortable accommodation in the back seat of the car by opening the rear door. The white wearings of the girls got drenched in the rain. After that, I resumed my journey in a jolly mood with my fellow co-passengers. When I was about to reach Biswanath Chariali, I asked them politely but with great disheartened feelings in my mind, where should I drop them? I slowed down the car to know their destination.
When I turned my head, I saw the rear seat of the vehicle was empty and dry. I realized that during this whole journey, I was traveling with two ghosts. With this belief, I floored the accelerator to reach Tezpur as soon as possible.

"FAITH & EDUCATION"
The topic is about Shri Shri Guadhora Satra Dham of Balijan, Gohpur, District-Biswanath, Assam (India). The said Satra got established in the 13th century. Further, the Gurujona, Mohapurukha, Shri Shrimanta Sankardev had written the Chapter of Haromohan of Kritan by staying several years together therein. Our most beloved predecessor/ancestor Basu Dev was the last Satradhikar of the said Satra. In the primitive age, the Satra is a place for imparting education to the devotees. The main objective of the Satra is to monitor mainly coordination, cooperation, protection, justification, promotion, and regulation among the inhabitant villagers with cultural activities. It also gives a lesson to be faithful to one and to be believable to all.
Due to a change of circumstances and the introduction of a schooling system for education, it was deeply thought by the beloved grandfather Betharam Kath Hazarika to establish an educational institution nearby the said Satra for improving adequate knowledge in different subjects. But, during his lifetime, such a beautiful dream could not come true though he was a pioneer educationist. Ultimately, in the sixties, such a beautiful dream of the ancestor came into reality. As a plot of land, measuring more than 5 (Five) Bighas of the ancestors were donated by Lalit Chandra Kath Hazarika & Nabin Chandra Kath Hazarika for the establishment of educational institution, accordingly, since then, one High School has been functioning in the name of Rupkowar Jyoti Prasad Agarwala with brilliant academic results.
The photographs as projected herein were carefully taken by Smt. Prastuti Kath Hazarika, Advocate, Gohpur Bar, is the Great Grand Daughter of the said ancestors and one of the active members of the Kath Hazarika Foundation.

"ACTION & SATISFACTION"
The "KATH HAZARIKA FOUNDATION" is an organization; to provide necessary helps to all types of creatures in great need, and with that intention, such an organization was constituted on the 22nd of July 2020 amidst the COVID-19; pandemic situation.
Today, the organization has completed one year, and therefore, the 1st Anniversary of the said organization is going to celebrate briefly considering the pandemic situation prevailing across the State.
Alike, successful predecessors, the successors are also deeply thinking for constructive welfare service to maintain harmony in the society as we hold.
However, the said organization has already rendered so many unconditional welfare services in society. Such social services have given us more and more self-satisfaction together with other day-to-day affairs.
Though we are trying our level best to give more and more extensive help collectively for the social interest, we could be unable to reach the summit although the goal remains the same to act for the helpless & beautiful creatures of the soil.
Already lots of like-minded persons have given their moral support for the services rendered by the FOUNDATION accordingly, in the last year we got a very positive response from 783 members who joined the KATH HAZARIKA FOUNDATION to encourage and to suggest for the achievement of the purpose as settled.
The KATH HAZARIKA FOUNDATION is not only thankful but also grateful to all of them and for which, paying the heartiest respect from the bottom of the heart for joining with us as well-wishers. Therefore, we are hopeful for getting reliable grace in every future event from everyone who is also keeping a similar vision in upholding overall betterment around the society at large.

"PATIENCE & PERSEVERANCE"
A profession of any kind always requires extra-special skills. So, for an acquaintance of such extra-special skill, patience & perseverance is a must. In the initial stage, for the professional activities, the supervision and guidance of the learned seniors are also equally important. Not only that but proper direction and guidance are also required to remove latent & patent defects. The occurrence of defects may be major or minor, caused injuries in every nature of professional activities. One must travel far long to attain maturity, and therefore, it is highly warranted to improve special skills. The person who recently joined a particular profession treats as a rookie, and for which devotion, determination, and concentration are to be applied in the right way to build up the status brighter and brighter.
The beautiful Judicial building as projected herein was constructed by the British rulers in the Mid 18th Century. My beloved father, Nabin Chandra Kath Hazarika, joined the Bar in 1952 who practiced at Law in this Hon'ble Court building till 1996. Keeping the same view, I also indulged myself in the same profession. Thus, the instant photograph was taken in front of the Hon'ble CJM Court at Tezpur about years back along with my son Neelam who is also keeping same ambition and in the next one me with my father more than 30 years back just before proceeding to the Court at Tezpur.
In conclusion, it is a settled principle that "that is perfect which consist all parts." Thence, perfectness is tangible only when acquired necessary special skills for a particular profession through hard work.

"THE PERSON WHO SUPPORTS"
Support needs to get rid of the crisis. Apart from parents, sometimes support is required from well-wishers as we hold in the society. The social phenomenon plays a vital role in getting immediate support from others in an unexpected awkward situation for mitigating the needs that are sometimes required.
Isolation creates a barrier to get immediate support when an emergency time arises that would never help anyone for arriving at the terminal point and as habituate behavior of a person cause immense effect in the course of the need in a juncture.
In a journey of struggle in our day-to-day business, sometimes someone is to face unexpected difficulties and at the same time have to taste the sweetness resulted simultaneously.
In late 1985, when I finally came to Guwahati from my native town Tezpur, with empty hands, the similar situation that I had faced on numerous occasions and during that relevant point of time Mr. Tapash Kr. Deb stood by my side and from whom it was possible to get comfortable support almost in all respect. Mr. Deb belongs to a reputed and renowned family who settled at Rehabari, Guwahati since 100 years back and floated with the stream of Assamese culture.
After that, in the same year, a tremendous opportunity came to my life to mix up with the family of Late Mr. Munindra Ch. Choudhary of Ulubari, Guwahati, a well-reputed and honored family having strong social attachment and further well cultured. He also came forward to support me since the Ab Initio stage of my career unconditionally. His such dynamic support, I could be able to maintain the present status as of now.
Surprisingly in the early part of 1992, I was able to come close with Ld. Adv. Late Mr. Govinda Ram Baruah of Mangaldai Bar from whom I got support to settle myself at Guwahati since he is the person who has given me a plot of land at a reasonable price which helped me to grow in my life step by step. Late Mr. Baruah though a learned person who did not project himself as a person of egoistic personality who also belongs to a noble family in the district of Darrang, having an ocean of knowledge and the owner of high-value real estate.
So, the photograph of the persons as given herein, though not having any family relationship, given unconditional support in the early stage of my career are no doubt at all, created the most remarkable milestone, and thence, I cannot but admire them. In the end, I am paying my heartiest respect to all those three noble persons from the bottom of the heart with folding hands. In conclusion, without saying that "a true friend always stands with you in all the situations."

"THE LITTLE MASTER AND RABHA DEU"
In my childhood, I got a tremendous opportunity to meet RABHA DEU first time in the year 1964 than in 65 and 66. The first time I met him was in Tezpur Town Hall now, it is known as Hem Baruah Hall. All of the children who were call upon the stage for cultural performance, in front of Rabha Deu, introduced by the front-line social activists/artists, namely Satradhikar Prabhu Sri Sri Gohon Chandra Goswami, Chandradhar Goswami, Bhula Kotoky, Mahadeb Sharma, Kamala Agarwala, Nabin Chandra Kath Hazarika & Ors. I sharply observed his appearance and sweet smile which, automatically came from his heart, and found him lovable.
In the Town Hall, he asked me to sing a Jyoti Sangeet but, I said NO. A few seconds later, he asked me again to sing a popular song as I knew. I started to sing 'XURORE DEULORE...' Then, after the performance, Rabha Deu so politely asked the name of the composer. A few seconds later, I said 'YOU' on being heard; he started to laugh out loud! Sometimes, all the children disturbed him a lot by pulling his hair, muffler, etc. Even then, he maintained his simplicity. When I was in 5th standard, he died untimely, and classes were declared dismissed. I with my friends went to his home where we flowered him and paid homage on 20th June 1969 and mourned the death with tears in cheek.

"THE BROKEN RADIO"
I would like; to share an incident with you guys, that how much a "BROKEN RADIO" can create a moment of joy in someone's life.
Last night, when I was working on my desk, my mother came to me with a gloomy face while holding a broken radio in her hand. I asked her what happened? She said to me that the radio stopped working. She was a little upset because that apart from our television (radio) was her only piece of entertainment in the mode of the electronic device. Subsequently, when I examined the radio, there was some minor issue with the loose wiring in the circuits, which I tried fixing.
Later on, after having my dinner, when I fixed the radio successfully eventually, it started working the moment of joy she experienced is beyond my letter of expression. The love and affection; which she has for that portable radio is unbelievable. We both shared a wonderful moment back there. We experienced how small things or incidents in life can matter the most and how they can make us happy.
We must understand to value and cherish the moments with our near and dear ones instead of counting the days we have in our hands.
P.S. Positively looking at things can only make us happy.

"TEZPUR BAR & E-LIBRARY"
Contribution towards others gives inner peace to a person as it overcomes emptiness and gives meaningful fruits to others.
Accordingly, on 04.03.2017, a time came that allowed me to donate an E-Library to Tezpur Bar Association in loving memory of my beloved father, Late Nabin Chandra Kath Hazarika. He was a senior member of the said Bar and was a renowned writer & social activist. That E-Library was installed and formally inaugurated by Hon'ble Additional District and Session Judge Mr. Darak Ullah in the Bar. On the auspicious occasion, a meeting was held wherein Ld. Members of the Bar and Ld. judicial officers of Sonitpur, Tezpur were also present. Further, in the said august house, I had been invited to deliver a speech in connection with the Bar & Bench relationship, and accordingly, that I had done.
The potentiality of E-Library, for the use of Bar & Bench, is now very much essential for the sake of speedy justice. And, with this very intention, that had been fulfilled for the welfare of the society. And in the said meeting, I had been facilitated for our services in the judiciary continuously since 1952.
