Empowering Youth for Better Public Service Delivery!

Over 180 NSS volunteers, students, faculty members, and stakeholders participated in the District Level Training-cum-Workshop on the Assam Right to Public Services (ARTPS) Act, 2024 and Sewa Setu Portal held at Nagaon University.

The workshop provided participants with practical insights into:
✅ Citizens' rights under the ARTPS Act
✅ Sewa Setu Portal services across departments
✅ Citizen ID creation and online service access
✅ Grievance and appeal mechanisms
✅ The role of NSS volunteers in spreading awareness at the grassroots level

A hands-on demonstration and interactive session enabled participants to create Citizen IDs and understand how citizens can access government services more efficiently and transparently through Sewa Setu.

The enthusiastic participation reflected the growing commitment of Assam's youth towards digital governance, citizen empowerment, and public service awareness.

Strengthening Citizen-Centric Governance Across Barak Valley

This week, AITEC & CSD Society, IT Department, Government of Assam, continued its outreach and capacity-building efforts across the Barak region through a series of impactful orientation programmes and workshops on the Assam Right to Public Services (ARTPS) Act, Rules, Services, and the Sewa Setu Portal.

📍 Cachar | 15 July 2026
A District-Level Training-cum-Workshop at the DC Office, Silchar brought together 55 officials from various government departments, the DC Office, and Circle Offices. The sessions focused on enhancing understanding of the ARTPS Act & Rules, services available through the Sewa Setu Portal, and the Appeal Management System to improve efficiency, transparency, and citizen-centric service delivery.

📍 Hailakandi | 16 July 2026
In collaboration with the District Administration, Hailakandi, a comprehensive workshop was conducted at the Circuit House Conference Hall with the participation of around 45 government officials from departmental offices, the District Commissioner's Office, Circle Offices, and SR Offices. The programme emphasized strengthening service delivery mechanisms and improving awareness of the ARTPS framework and digital service delivery ecosystem.

A special Training-cum-Workshop for Programme Officers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) under Assam University, Silchar witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 50 Programme Officers representing 50 affiliated colleges. Organized in association with the NSS Cell, Assam University, the programme was inaugurated by Prof. Ashok Sen, Vice Chancellor (i/c) in the presence of Dr. Pradosh Kiran Nath, Registrar, and Prof. Gangabhushan M. Molankal, Programme Coordinator, NSS Cell. The interactive sessions focused on creating awareness about the ARTPS (Amendment) Act, 2024 and empowering youth leaders to become ambassadors of citizen-centric public service delivery.

✨ Through these engagements, AITEC & CSD Society reaffirmed its commitment to building awareness, strengthening institutional capacity, and promoting transparent, accountable, and accessible governance across the Barak Valley. Together, we are empowering stakeholders and citizens to make the most of Assam's digital public service delivery ecosystem.
