In a momentous development for Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), an
agreement was signed between Numaligarh Refinery Limited and
Progressive Fertichem Private Limited on 18.05.2026 for sale of 52,500
MT per annum of Sulphur. This marks a significant milestone for the
Company, as it is the first agreement signed for any product to be
produced after NRL Expansion, thereby representing a major commercial
achievement in the post-expansion phase.
The agreement is the culmination of nearly four years of diligent and
sustained efforts by a committed group of officers from the Marketing
and Finance Departments, who worked continuously to bring this
important commercial arrangement to fruition. Their coordinated
efforts, persistence, and engagement in resolving commercial,
financial, and procedural issues have played a key role in enabling
the successful ex*****on of this agreement.
Besides securing a long-term offtake arrangement for Sulphur, the
signing of this agreement also reflects NRL’s readiness to monetize
products from its expanded capacity through structured and
value-accretive commercial partnerships.
