22-06-2023; An awareness programme cm Anti-Drug Pledge Taking Ceremony was undertaken by the Narcotics Control Bureau Zonal Unit, Guwahati under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt of India in collaboration with Cotton University NSS Unit. A seminar was presented to the students of Cotton University on the usage of drugs and it's side effects. The students are highly enlightened by this initiative. At the end a pledge taking ceremony was also conducted. DSW, Cotton University and other officials from Narcotics Control Bureau were present in the event .

"Yoga is a Flame; when you Light it up, the Glow never Fades away."

On the occasion of 9th International Yoga Day; today, Cotton University in collaboration with Guwahati Smart City Ltd. and Cotton University NSS Unit celebrated Yoga Day, performing some basic yogasana and learning about its benefits. Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Sir, DSW Sir,Dean Sir, faculty members and working staff along with NSS Volunteers, NCC Cadets, students of Cotton University participated in the event making the celebration successful.The main objective of the event was to raise awareness among the participants and the wider public about the manifold benefits of practicing yoga. Yoga is not just a physical exercise but a holistic discipline that promotes overall well-being.

3rd June, 2023:-On the occasion of World Bicycle Day today Cotton University NSS Unit, Cotton Cycling Community, Cotton University Students Union in collaboration with Guwahati Smart City conducted a Cycle rally. NSS Volunteers and Students of Cotton University participated in this rally. Hon'ble Vice-chancellor, Cotton University flagged off the rally and participated with the students along with the DSW, Cotton University.

কটন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় সেৱা বাহিনী গোটৰ তিনিদিনীয়া বিশেষশিবিৰৰ সফল সামৰণি ঘটে।হাজো শিক্ষাখণ্ডৰ অন্তৰ্ভুক্ত উখুৰা জনজাতি প্ৰাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ত অনুষ্ঠিত এই শিবিৰৰ প্ৰথম দিনাৰ কাৰ্যসূচী ৰূপে স্বচ্ছ অভিযান, দেৱাল লিখন, নৃত্য,গীতৰ প্ৰশিক্ষণ দিয়া হয়।দ্বিতীয় দিনৰ কাৰ্যসূচীৰূপে প্ৰতি ঘৰে ঘৰে গৈ জৰীপ কাৰ্যসূচী ৰূপায়ন কৰাৰ লগতে গীত,খেল- ধেমালী,মুকাভিনয়ৰ প্ৰশিক্ষণৰ আয়োজন কৰা হয় আৰু অন্তিম দিনৰ কাৰ্যসূচী হিচাপে ৰাতিপুৱাৰ ভাগত ছাত্ৰ-ছাত্ৰীসকলৰ মাজত কুইজ,চিত্ৰাংকণ,সংগীত চকী আদিৰ প্ৰতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত কৰা হয়।বিশেষ শিবিৰৰ লগত সংগতি ৰাখি অনুষ্ঠিত কৰা মুকলি সভাত বিশিষ্ট অতিথি হিচাপে কটন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ ছাত্ৰ কল্যাণ সঞ্চালক ড° প্ৰশান্ত শৰ্মা,কুলেন দাস,উখুৰা জনজাতি প্ৰাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ৰ প্ৰধান শিক্ষক ইব্ৰাহিম আলী,তথা কটন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ NSS গোটৰ বিষয়া তথা কটন বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ৰ সহকাৰী অধ্যাপক হেমন্ত বৰ্মন উপস্থিত থাকে।

1st day of Cotton University NSS Unit annual camp was successfully organised at Ukhura, Hajo . 34+ active volunteers had participated and various activity were carried by the volunteers like interaction with local peoples,games etc. Students enjoyed lot.
