जयपुर कमिश्नरेट के पूर्व जिले की पुलिस ने ऑपरेशन री-कॉल के तहत बड़ी सफलता हासिल की है। सिर्फ 1 महीने में 790 गुम मोबाइल फोन बरामद किए गए, जिनकी कुल कीमत करीब ₹2 करोड़ है।
इन फोनों को ट्रेस करने के लिए पुलिस ने कई राज्यों में फैले 400 मोबाइल टावरों की मदद से लोकेशन ट्रैक की—जो इस अभियान की सटीकता और प्रभावशीलता को दिखाता है।

Assam LSA conducted awareness program on Sanchar Saathi, EMR and CBuD at Skill Development Institute, Guwahati on 24th April 2026.

Under the chairmanship of DDG (T), Assam LSA, a meeting was convened with TSPs and IPs on 22.04.2026 to deliberate on the exigencies arising from the current situation in the Middle East. The discussions focused on ensuring uninterrupted fuel supply to telecom installations for maintaining seamless network operations.

A meeting of DoT, Assam LSA was convened on 07.04.2026 under the chairmanship of the Additional DGT, Assam LSA, with representatives of all TSPs to deliberate on the following issues:
1. Re-verification of mobile numbers flagged under various categories on the DIP portal.
2. Action to be taken against suspected Points of Sale (PoS).
3. Fiberisation of BTSs.
4. Implementation of the Right of Way (RoW) Rules.
5. CBUD enquiries.
6. Disaster preparedness.
7. Delayed response in PG cases.
The issues were discussed in detail and TSPs were advised to take necessary action as per the applicable guidelines and prescribed timelines.

Assam 16th SBC meeting was held on 30th March 2026 under the chairmanship of Shri Gopinath Narayan, Pr. Secy- IT to Govt. of Assam. Shri Rajendra Meshram, Addl. DGT along with his Assam LSA Rural team (DDG, ADG & AD) conducted the meeting. Members from different line departments (Power, PWD, BSNL, BN & state- IT) including members from DIPA & COAI attended the meeting. Deliberations were made on DBN projects (4GS/ BN- ABP), RoW, CBuD, DoE’s Fin assistance to State for telecom related works, new development plans n proposals for Assam, DIPA & COAI issues etc.

Today Shri Suresh Puri, Addl DGT / HQ along with the LSA head/ Assam, Shri Rajendra Meshram and Pankaj Das, DDG(R)/ Assam LSA visited the State Govt. Assam Administrative Staff college (AASC) and had a very fruitful discussion on the need of incorporating a telecom module in the regular Training courses/ curriculum for effective awareness and dissemination of DoT’s citizen centric initiatives about telecom related topics, such as 5G Use cases, EMF radiation and Telecom Frauds & Sanchar saathi portal, CBuD App & Disaster management. AASC has shown positive response and willingness to incorporate the same in the upcoming Training courses at the earliest- likely to start from the month of June-26 and also agreed to consider it for regular induction in future.

Shri Suresh Puri, Addl DGT / DoT DGT HQ along with the LSA head/ Assam, Shri Rajendra Meshram and Pankaj Das, DDG(R)/ Assam LSA visited Pr. Secy- IT, Govt. of Assam, Shri Gopinath Narayan, today and had a fruitful discussion on few key aspects - Composite Billing, RoW, CBuD, DBN projects, coverage of shadow areas, satellite coverage in remote hilly areas , other developments related to BharatNet and on the proposal of leveraging of DISCOM infrastructure for last-mile FTTx including BPL/ PLC for faster, safer and orderly proliferation of Broadband service in Assam.
