Digital Sociology Lecture Series 2025
Research Committee 30: Digital Sociology has organized a lecture as part of the Digital Sociology Lecture Series 2025 on 11th October 2025. The lecture is delivered by Dr. Tatiana Karabchuk, Associate Professor, Economic Sociology and Demography, Department of Government and Society, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, United Arab Emirates University, UAE.
Topic of the lecture was “Digitization and Trust in National Institutions in the Gulf Countries”.
Dr. Karabchuk spoke on the topic “Digitization and Trust in National Institutions in the Gulf Countries.” The lecture provided valuable insights into the role of digitalization in shaping public trust toward national institutions in Gulf societies, highlighting contemporary challenges and sociological implications in the digital era.
The event was part of the ongoing efforts of Research Committee 30: Digital Sociology to foster scholarly dialogue and research engagement on emerging themes in digital society.

Adhoc Group 01 Digital Sociology, Indian Sociological Society successfully organised technical sessions at the 49th All India Sociological Sociological Conference held in BML Munjal University, Gurugram, Haryana on 22-24 December, 2024.
Sessions were well attended by participants from different Universities and colleges across the country. Participants delivered presentation on various themes such as Digital public sphere, social media, influencer culture, AI and health, AI and education, Cyber crime, digital privacy and so on.
