The main objective of this association is to protect their individual and collective rights. The main motto of the association is the welfare of the members.

All Assam Veterinary Field Assistants' Association (AAVFAA) was established in the year 1958 by some of the field assistants of Department of Veterinary, Assam. The government of Assam has recognized the association vide letter no ABP/126/73/55 dt 5-7-77.
