Hon'ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh laid foundation stone for BDL's new naval systems manufacturing facility at T. Sirasapalli, Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh.

Driving India’s defence manufacturing towards greater self-reliance 🇮🇳

Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Secretary (Defence Production), visited BDL and reviewed the Company’s advanced manufacturing facilities, along with the progress of ongoing and upcoming defence projects. He also interacted with Engineers, workers and held insightful discussion with management on key initiatives:

✅ R&D and Supply Chain

The visit reaffirmed the collective commitment towards strengthening indigenous capabilities and accelerating the vision of in defence production.

BDL achieved a major milestone in indigenous defence manufacturing with the delivery of India’s first Production-Grade Wire Guided Heavy Weight Torpedo to NSTL at Visakhapatnam.

Developed in partnership with NSTL as DcPP, the advanced torpedo, in practice & combat configurations,strengthens Indian Navy’s operational capabilities and marks a significant step towards in advanced naval weapon systems.

Bharat Ratna Dr. B. R. Ambedkar’s Jayanti was celebrated with great fervour across all Units and Corporate Office of BDL today. Rich tributes were paid by Cmde A. Madhavarao (Retd), CMD, BDL along with senior officials and employees of the Company on the occasion.

Cmde Sujay Kapoor(Retd) assumes charge as Director(Production), BDL. With over three decades in Navy &vast expertise in armament production,indigenisation &quality systems,he brings rich operational & strategic experience to strengthen BDL’s weapons manufacturing for Armed Forces

BDL has successfully completed First-off Production Model (FOPM) of Advanced Akash Weapon System with upgraded sub-systems thereby enhancing the performance and bolstering combat capability of the Indian Armed Forces.

BDL salutes the spirit of a strong and self reliant India and reaffirms its commitment to enhance the nation’s defence prowess and contribute to a stronger, self-reliant Viksit Bharat. 🇮🇳
