The Library Department will conduct an online mock Civil Services Preliminary (General Studies) examination on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 1:45 PM to 3:45 PM. Registration will close automatically on February 13, 2025, at 11:59 PM. The examination link will be shared via WhatsApp five minutes prior to the start time. Participants will be granted an additional five minutes following the examination to submit mandatory feedback, which is required for result and e-certificate issuance.

Assistant Professor Dr. Srinath has devised a test on the content of various Biostatistics books for second-year BSc Biotech students. Students have the flexibility to select a book of their choice and analyze its content. The primary aim of the test is to assess students' ability to comprehend and analyze the selected book's content, thereby gauging their analytical skills and understanding.

BSc Electronics students are currently participating in an online Electronics Quiz on the 'Kahoot' platform. Thirteen students were actively engaged in the quiz session held between 10:20 am and 11:15 am. The event was moderated by Ms. Mercy Joice, electronics student, while Ms. Sowjanya ma'am Lecturer, conducted the quiz. Mr. Arya Choudhury, Mr. Manish and Mr. Rohit stood on first three positions.

Library Week-2024 12/02/2024

Library Week 2024 was a comprehensive program spanning from February 5th to 9th, 2024, filled with a diverse range of activities and events. Organized by the Department of Social Sciences & Humanities (Library) in conjunction with the Library Committee, it aimed to promote engagement and appreciation for library resources.

Throughout the week, each department dedicated a specific day to host events and activities relevant to their domain. The coordination and oversight of the week-long programs were carried out diligently by all members of the library committee, including the Chairperson.

Participation in the events was encouraged, with every student who took part receiving Participant Certificates in due course. Additionally, prizes will be awarded to the winners, adding an extra layer of excitement and motivation for involvement.

LIBRARY WEEK-2024 : DAY-3

During Library Week 2024, the Department of Sciences organized an engaging event titled "Know Thy Shelf" on February 7th, 2024. Teams at the preliminary level were presented with questions encoded in QR codes. Those teams successfully answering progressed to the final round. In the final round, teams were tasked with identifying five pre-selected books chosen by the organizers. The first team to successfully identify all five titles within a specified timeframe was declared the winning team. Despite 74 registrations, an impressive 72 students enthusiastically participated.

The victorious team included Mr. Arya Chowdary, Mr. Abakar Adam, Ms. Mercy Joyce, Mr. Rama Krishna, and Mr. Sahil.

The vibrant event was hosted in the library by Dr. Satabdi Roy, Ms. D. Sowjanya, and Ms. Rajyalakshmi, esteemed faculty members of the Department of Sciences. The meticulous organization of the entire event was spearheaded by B. Sneha, a second-year MSCS student, and Vivek Kumar, a third-year BT student.

The victorious team included Mr. Arya Chowdary (2 MECS), Mr. Abakar Adam (2 MECS), Ms. Mercy Joyce (2 MECS), Mr. Rama Krishna (2 MSCS), and Mr. Sahil (2 MECS).
