📌 Position: Project Research Scientist-I (01 Post)

📌 Salary: 56,000/- + 30% HRA of Rs.16,800/-; Total Rs. 72,800/-

📌 Duration: 24 Months
📌 Eligibility: First class post graduate degree in M.Pharm/M.S.(Pharm)/M.Sc/MSc/M.Tech or equivalent in relevant disciplines
Desirable: candidates with GATE/GPAT/CSIR /UGC-NET qualification and experience in formulation development, HPLC, in-vitro/in-vivo studies, scientific writing, and oral cancer drug delivery research.

signed an MoU with Boehringer Ingelheim India on May 15, 2026, to advance pharmaceutical research, education, and innovation through joint research initiatives.

The five-year agreement was signed by Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Director, NIPER Hyderabad, and Ms. Meenal Gauri, Managing Director, Boehringer Ingelheim India. Under the MoU, researchers and faculty at NIPER Hyderabad will gain access to opnMe®, Boehringer Ingelheim’s global open science portal, enabling the use of well-characterised pre-clinical research molecules for scientific studies.

The collaboration is expected to support translational research and strengthen Hyderabad’s growing biopharmaceutical and life sciences ecosystem. The partnership is also aligned with the Government of India’s Biopharma SHAKTI mission and the broader Viksit Bharat 2047 vision aimed at advancing pharmaceutical innovation and research capabilities in the country.

The Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), MoHFW, GoI, organized a Scientific Conclave & Interactive Session on Indian Pharmacopoeia 2026 on May 15, 2026 at NIPER, Hyderabad, in collaboration with NIPER Hyderabad, Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), and the IDMA Telangana Chapter. The conclave focused on the theme “Significance of Indian Pharmacopoeia Reference Standards and Impurity Standards in Ensuring Pharmaceutical Quality.”
The conference was formally inaugurated by Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Director, NIPER Hyderabad, who appreciated IPC for collaborating with academic institutions in advancing pharmaceutical quality initiatives. He highlighted that such collaborations with premier institutions, including NIPER Hyderabad and previously NIPER Ahmedabad, provide an important platform for scientific exchange and capacity building among regulators, academia, and industry stakeholders.
Shri K. V. Rambabu, MD, Pulse Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. and Chairman, IDMA Telangana Chapter; Shri Gangidi Sreenivas, Deputy Director, State Drug Control Office, Telangana; Shri K. Narendran, Deputy Drugs Controller (India), CDSCO Hyderabad; and Dr. V. Kalaiselvan, Secretary-cum-Scientific Director, IPC, graced the conclave with their esteemed presence and insightful addresses. Conclave Bring Together Pharmaceutical Quality, Clinical, Regulatory and Industry Experts for the First Time to Deliberate on Clinical Implications of Pharmacopoeial Impurities and Patient Safety.

organized an award distribution ceremony on April 29, 2026, to felicitate winners of its vibrant Sports Festival held from February 19–27, 2026. The week-long event was witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across a wide range of sporting disciplines, including , , , Kho-Kho, , Chess, and several other indoor and outdoor games, promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and a strong sense of campus spirit.

NIPER Hyderabad is organizing a two-day National Workshop on Molecule to Medicine: An Innovative Workshop on Drug Discovery, Delivery and Development on April 29–30, 2026. More than 130 participants, including faculty members, Ph.D. scholars, researchers, and M.Pharm delegates from across the country, are attending the workshop.

The workshop focuses on emerging approaches in drug discovery, development, and advanced delivery systems. It also provides hands-on training in modern pharmaceutical research tools and laboratory techniques.

Dr. Mukesh Kumar Gupta, Director, ICMR-NARFBR, graced the inaugural program as Chief Guest, while Prof. Swarnalata Saraf, Institute of Pharmacy, Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University was the Guest of Honour. Prof. Shailendra Saraf, Director, NIPER Hyderabad, was present for the inaugural programme.
