These children need home tuition and often their mothers, who are the sole breadwinner, are forced to pay exorbitant tuition fees (Rs. 100 per month per child of monthly earning of Rs. 2000). Through DLM, tuition fees to the teachers (preferably women) as well as children will be paid. Under this programme, a Vernacular, English, Mathematics and Computers will be taught. On-line course materials and training package will be made available to DLM tutors and students. Information will be made available to the DLM tutors and students regarding free/low cost education facilities (Navodaya Vidyalaya) and other schemes of government. It is proposed that a comprehensive role-driven collaboration platform containing huge digital data (video/audio/text/multimedia) will be made available soon. The DLM information network will connect people who would like to contribute in terms of money, resources and time. Through DLM information network, we will create system for monitoring the project on line. Under DLM, job opportunities for tutors and facilitators will be created. However DLM tutors and facilitators can offer voluntary service too.
