RFRI, Jorhat organized a three-day long 'Skill Development Training on Bamboo Shoot Processing and Value Addition' for Inmates of Observation Home, Lichubari, Jorhat, Assam from 13th March, 2023. There are twenty five Inmates who are participating in the Training. The Training was inaugurated by Shri Vijay Kumar Singh, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jorhat. The Inaugural Session was attended by Dr. R. K. Borah, Director, ICFRE-RFRI; Shri Devojyoti Bhuyan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Jorhat, Shri R. K. Kalita, Head, Extension Division, ICFRE-RFRI; Shri Pranjal Kumar Goswami, Resource Person; other Officials of ICFRE-RFRI, DLSA and Social Welfare Department.
Shri R. K. Kalita delivered a presentation on Multifarious applications of Bamboo, followed by Hands-on session on Bamboo Shoot Processing and Value addition by Shri Goswami.
