We STRONGLY CONDEMN the police action on the peaceful "No NRC, No Census" rally.
Firing tear gas on our mothers and sisters at Keirak is cowardly and unacceptable. This was a democratic demand to protect indigenous identity - to identify outsiders before Census.
We stand with the protesters. Stop suppressing people's voice!

We, condemn the brutal terrorist attack on Naga villagers along the IT Road between Makui Ashang and Thanamba Naga in Kangpokpi District on August 27, where 4-5 innocent Naga civilians were reportedly killed in an ambush.
We mourn the loss of innocent lives and extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families. Killing farmers and villagers can never be justified.
We demand:
1. Immediate, impartial investigation and arrest of the perpetrators
2. Protection for all Naga villages along IT Road and Kangpokpi
3. Medical support for the injured and support for families of the victims
We appeal to all Naga, Kuki, Meitei and all communities in Manipur to reject violence. Peace cannot come from bloodshed.
May the souls of the departed rest in peace. Justice must prevail.
