Gliders India Limited Secures Multi-Crore Defence Export Order

Gliders India Limited (GIL), a Defence Public Sector Enterprise under Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, has secured a 30 crore export order from Vietnam for the supply of SU-30 Brake Parachutes (BP) and Pilot Parachutes (PP), which are critical safety components for fighter aircraft.

The export order reflects the growing global acceptance of Indian defence products and GIL’s proven capability in the design, manufacture and supply of mission-critical aerospace systems in compliance with stringent international quality and safety standards.

The achievement further establishes GIL as a specialised aerospace manufacturing entity with expanding global reach.
Manufactured using indigenously sourced materials under supervision of skilled workforce, the export is in consonance with the Government of India’s initiatives of “Make in India” and “Atmanirbhar Bharat”, and contributes to the national objective of enhancing defence exports.

The milestone augments India’s defence export earnings and strengthens the foundation for future international collaborations, reinforcing India’s position as a reliable and trusted supplier in the global defence and aerospace sector.

Mr. Omesh Sinha,(IOFS),Senior Manager, represented Gliders India Limited at the Land Forces Command HQ at its capital city Algiers in Algeria,North Africa for a highly productive session focused on showcasing our advanced parachute range and life-saving equipment.

This engagement is part of a continual effort to strengthen our presence in Algeria, driven by the versatile vision of our

भारत सरकार, रक्षा मंत्रालय की डीपीएसयू ग्लाइडर्स इण्डिया लिमिटेड (जीआईएल) ने 15वें एयरो इण्डिया 2025 में अपनी सक्रिय भागीदारी प्रदर्शित की है। कर्नाटक की राजधानी बंगलुरु में आयोजित इस एशिया के सबसे बड़े एयर शो में ``सामर्थ्य’’ कार्यक्रम के दौरान जीआईएल ने पूरी तरह से स्वदेशी माडल पर एडीआरडीई के सहयोग से निर्मित पायलट पैराशूट फार सुखोई-30 का प्रदर्शन किया। यह पैराशूट इस कार्यक्रम में मुख्य आकर्षण का केंद्र रहा।

इस ``सामर्थ्य’’ स्वदेशीकरण कार्यक्रम का भव्य आयोजन कल 12.02.2025 को देश के माननीय रक्षा मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति में किया गया। यह आयोजन एयरो इण्डिया में अपनी तरह का पहला कार्यक्रम था। इस दौरान जीआईएल के अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक (सीएमडी) श्री एम.सी. बालासुब्रमणियम विशिष्ट रूप से उपस्थित रहे। साथ ही कार्यक्रम में एडीआरडीई के वैज्ञानिक `एफ’ श्री सुधाकर प्रसाद भी मौजूद रहे।

कार्यक्रम में राष्ट्रीय रक्षा के लिए विशेष रूप से महत्वपूर्ण स्वदेशी उत्पादों का प्रदर्शन किया गया, जिसमें जीआईएल के द्वारा एडीआरडीई के सहयोग से विकसित किये गये सुखोई-30 के लिए पायलट पैराशूट को बेहद सराहा गया। इस दौरान स्वदेशी माडल के पूर्णतः अनुपालन के साथ पायलट पैराशूट के सफलता के साथ उत्पादन एवं आपूर्ति के लिए जीआईएल तथा एडीआरडीई के अधिकारियों की टीम को संयुक्त रूप से प्रशंसा प्रमाण-पत्र प्रदान कर सम्मानित किया गया।
