Many children across different geographies of India use sacs as a school bag. It’s not only difficult to carry given its design and weight of the books but also proves to be inadequate during rainy days.

Meet Deepshikha Chhetri, one of our star volunteers!

During her India Fellowship days in Bhoola village of Rajasthan, she used to work with a local school to help implement study programs to improve the learning environment of the children.

With the support of Kshamtalaya Foundation, Deepshikha raised funds on a crowdfunding platform, BitGiving, to provide DESKITs to the students she was working for.

For us, Deepshikha is an inspiration. She reminds us of the fact that “To make a difference in someone’s life, you do not have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful, or perfect. You just have to care.” Team PROSOC is extremely grateful for Deepshikha’s efforts and support.

In India, several small government schools lack basic educational infrastructure which leads to health issues like backache, bad handwriting, and poor concentration.

To contribute towards solving this problem, we at ProSoc have designed . “A school bag convertible into a study table”, DESKIT not only helps children carry their books safely but its detachable table also helps them to sit straight while studying which improves their concentration in class, increasing their ability to learn.

Also it can be used by students both in school and their homes.

We at Prosoc intend to reach - a school bag convertible into a study table to the remotest parts of the country where children often do not have basic infrastructure support to study.
