Ms. Sarita Sharma of GPS Jukain, Gopalpur-I, Mandi has developed her own TLMs and is using an innovative method of teaching place value to the students . Students are taking keen interest in the activity and they are now able to describe place value of any number and also they are able to expand the numbers according to their place value.


Keep up the good work! This method can be used by other teachers to teach place value to students in an easier way

Ms. Kiran Sharma of GPS Bhalwani, Balh, Mandi has developed innovative methods to teach students opposite words. She makes effort to get students to participate in engaging puppet stories to improve their language skills.

Mr. Som Dutt of GPS Shoran, Kullu-I adopts a practical instead of theoretical approach and teaches science concepts to students by performing activities and experiments with them. This keeps them engaged and ensures deeper understanding of concepts. Keep up the good work!

Ms. Rita has designed TLMs to make the teaching learning process interesting and effective. She has enhanced the learning levels of the students. If students don’t understand the content, she develops content-based TLM, groups and does activity based learning to help them understand.
The school also received the best school of the District award given by Honourable Deputy Speaker Sh.Jagat Singh Negi.
Ms. Rita has also provided learning materials to needy students of the school. Parents are kept involved and provided feedback through whatsapp. Starting nursery class in school has helped in increasing enrollment in the school. She is also developing healthy habits and hygiene in the students. Meals are served hygienically and proper sitting arrangements have been made for the students.

Mr. Kailash Chand

Mr. Kailash Chand modified the school uniform and has taken initiative to improve sports and activities in the school. There is high participation of students in morning assemblies, quizzes, speaking activities organized regularly in the school, where they learn in an engaging way.
He also got all books of students binded in the school. He has involved the community in school events and conducted SMC meetings effectively. His efforts have helped increase the enrollment from 26 to 42 students in the school.

Indu Bala and Mr. Ganesh Dutt

The teachers started nursery education in the school. Ms. Indu involved the community and started computer education in the school with their help. She pays personal attention to develop reading habit in students by providing them a library in the school.

Ganesh Dutt prepared students for cultural activities. He made students practice, motivated them and they won prizes in block level tournaments held this year.

Mr. Praveen Kumar

Mr. Praveen Kumar started nursery classes in his school in 2013. With his own efforts, 25 students were enrolled in pre primary in present session. He has also started computer education in the school and focuses on activity-based learning. In addition, he has installed CCTV cameras in all the classrooms to monitor teachers and lectures.

Smt Mandeep Kaur took the help of SMC members and parents to arrange computers for the school and teach students through it. She paid attention to the school campus and ensured good infrastructure and maintenance. She also provided smart uniforms for the students and a hand-washing facility was setup for all the students. She carried out an enrollment drive and due to her efforts the school is among the top three schools in the Block.

Mr. Manjit actively teaches students through models, charts, and videos. He makes students conduct science experiments and build models on their own to ensure they learn by doing. The students of this school also stood first at the Block Level Science Fair.
