A protest program was organized in front of the Guwahati club demanding proper punishment by the All India Vidyarthi Parishad, Guwahati Metropolitan and opposing various types of incidents like Manipur, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Chandigarh etc. ABVP's National Secretary Rakesh Das along with Guwahati city workers were present in the protest program.

Tributes to the legendary freedom fighter U Tirot Sing Syiem on his balidan diwas. He was a prominent leader of the Khasi community in the northeastern region of India.
