Nikshay Pledge and Nikshay Jaanch Shivir were organized at the Administrative Building of KCC Unit on 03.06.2026 under the 100-Day Intensified TB Elimination Program of the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), which commenced on 24 March 2026.
The pledge for TB elimination was administered by Mr. P. D. Bohra, Unit Head, KCC. Mr. Sanjay Shivdarshi, GM (HR), Dr. Deepika Khurana, AGM (M&HS), along with all Heads of Departments (HODs) and employees of the KCC Unit were present on this occasion.
Dr. Bhanu Maan (Nodal Officer, NTEP) delivered a brief presentation on the program and highlighted the achievements of the KCC Unit in the field of TB elimination during the period 2024–2026.
In addition to the pledge ceremony, around 50 employees were screened for Tuberculosis (TB) and Diabetes as part of the health screening initiative.

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) today organized an insightful interactive session on “Navigating Ethical Dilemmas in Artificial Intelligence for Business” by Mr Navin Mishra, Chairman & Managing Director, Metallon Holdings.
The workshop was attended by Mr Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Hindustan Copper Ltd. (HCL), Mr RVN Vishweshwar, Director (Finance),
Mr Ghanshyam Das Gupta, Director (Mining), HCL, Mr Harsimran Singh, Chief Vigilance Officer, HCL, and other senior officials.
Employees from HCL's Units, Corporate Office, and various Offices across the organization participated in the session, making it a highly engaging platform for learning and knowledge exchange.

A detailed safety review meeting was organised at Malanjkhand Copper Project (MCP) by Mr Ghanshyam Das Gupta, Director (Mining) on 02.06.2026 during his two days review visit to MCP unit, focusing on strengthening safety practices and enhancing operational excellence across mining activities.
During the extensive interaction, various critical safety-related points were reviewed in depth, and several innovative ideas and proactive measures were suggested to further reinforce a culture of safety, vigilance, and continuous improvement at the workplace.
The discussions emphasized the importance of safe mining operations, adoption of best practices, risk mitigation, and active participation of all employees towards achieving zero harm and sustainable productivity.

Mr Ghanshyam Das Gupta, Director (Mining), HCL held a courtesy meeting with Mr Sanjay Uikey, MLA, Baihar Assembly constituency, Dist-Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh on 2nd June 2026 at Malanjkhand Copper Project (MCP) in the presence of Mr Nagesh Shenoy, ED & Unit Head, MCP. Several matters pertaining to performance of MCP and local area development under CSR were discussed in the meeting.

Mr Ghanshyam Das Gupta, Director (Mining), HCL made his maiden visit to Malanjkhand Copper Project ( MCP) during 1-2 June 2026. On arrival, he was welcomed by Mr Nagesh Shenoy, ED & Unit Head, MCP. Thereafter, Mr Gupta visited Pastefill Plant, Mines Office and Tailing Dam. Later at evening, Director (Mining) held discussions with representatives of MCP Officers Association and recognised Union BKMS. The day ended with meeting with HoDs. The second day of the visit began with inspection of dump area. Thereafter, Director (Mining), along with Unit Head, MCP, held a meeting with Shri Sanjay Uikey, MLA, Baihar. After that Shri Gupta inspected the activities of underground mine. Subsequently, Director (Mining) and Unit Head, MCP visited the Mines Canteen and had lunch. Director (Mining) also visited MCP Hospital and took stock of the healthcare facilities being provided to employees and their dependents.

The meeting was graced by Mr Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Director Operations, senior officials from HCL, IOCL, GAIL, CIL, NML and E&Y,
Subsequent to the Chile visit by a seven-member team from HCL, CIL and NML, the session was about sharing of the experiences and deliberating on the way forward on CODELCO projects.
Further, Ernst & Young, Transaction Advisor engaged by HCL, delivered a presentation on process & methodology of acquisition of copper assets in Chile and also actionable tasks and its timelines in the process of acquisition.

In a significant milestone for India’s mining and metals sector, Hindustan Copper Limited has successfully revived its long-idle Gujarat Copper Project through a Public-Private Partnership model, transforming a dormant asset into a future revenue-generating enterprise.
Under the visionary leadership of Mr Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Chairman and Managing Director, Hindustan Copper Limited, in the presence of Director (Operations), Dr Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Director (Finance), Mr RVN Vishweshwar, Diector (Mining), Mr Ghanshyam Das Gupta, connected through VC, Chief Vigilance Officer, Mr Harsimran Singh, and senior officials, HCL handed over the Letter of Award to M/s Lohum Materials Pvt. Ltd. in Kolkata today for restarting, operation and maintenance of Gujarat Copper Project under revenue-sharing model for 20 years, extendable by another 5 years..
With strategic revival of this dormant asset into engines of growth, GCP is expected to generate revenue for HCL, strengthen India’s copper value chain, reduce dependence on external sources, and support the nation’s journey towards becoming a developed and self-reliant economy, aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
An agreement was also signed today with Ardee Engineering Ltd. for construction of the 3.0 MTPA Concentrator Plant at Malanjkhand Copper Project which is a strategic step towards the expansion journey of HCL, enhancing ore beneficiation capacity and laying a strong foundation for achieving its targeted production of 12.2 million tonnes per annum by 2030, thereby strengthening India's copper self-reliance and mineral security.

A two-day Training Programme on Reservation Policy commenced at Indian Copper Complex (ICC), Ghatshila, on 1st June 2026. The programme, coordinated by Shri Sandeep Mukherjee, has brought together HR Executives and officials from ICC and various Units/Offices across the organization to enhance understanding of reservation policies, statutory provisions, and implementation practices. The initiative reflects the organization's commitment to capacity building, compliance, and inclusive governance.
