A Fortnight of Action, A Year-Round Commitment: Damodar Valley Corporation Wraps Up Swachhata Pakhwada 2026

From May 16th to May 31st, DVC united across our power stations, offices, and surrounding communities to observe Swachhata Pakhwada. More than just a 15-day campaign, this initiative was a powerful reaffirmation of our core commitment to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable India.

This year, the energy and participation across the DVC network were truly unprecedented—driven by a shared vision of environmental stewardship and strict hygiene standards.

Corporate Highlights & Impact:

Honoring the Frontline: Across our stations, we proudly felicitated our Swachhata Karmis. Their daily, relentless efforts remain the bedrock of our clean and safe workspaces.

Grassroots Action: Extensive mass cleaning drives and awareness rallies were successfully conducted, covering plant premises, hospitals, townships, and neighboring villages.

Youth & Community Engagement: From Swachhata-themed painting competitions for schoolchildren to trilingual essay writing (Bengali, Hindi, English) for our employees, we engaged minds of all ages to reflect on the critical importance of sanitation.

Green Expansion: Massive tree plantation drives were executed to actively expand our regional carbon sink and promote local biodiversity.

As emphasized by our project leaders during the concluding ceremonies, Swachhata is a daily, year-round responsibility. When we inspire each other to maintain clean surroundings, we lay the foundation for a healthy, disease-free life for the entire community.

A massive thank you to the entire DVC family, our Swachhata Karmis, local schools, and community members who made this campaign a resounding success. Let’s carry this momentum forward—every single day.
