He who plants a tree plants a hope.
~ Lucy Larcom
What better way to say 'Not me, But you' than planting hopes for tomorrow. NSS NITC in association with NSS SVNIT organized a plantation drive as part of NSS day observation. Students and NSS volunteers joined hands in the week-long programme which extended from 16th to 23rd of September for the noble cause. Keeping the COVID protocols, 1000 saplings were planted at houses and public places across India.
We are immensely delighted by the responses and extend our gratitude to everyone who reserved their time for this. We also recognize that taking good care is as important as planting a sapling and request you to continue cooperating with us to monitor the plants.

Life's most persistent and urgent question is, ''what are you doing for others?”
NSS-NITC, in association with DATRI, organised a webinar on raising awareness about stem cell donation on September 19, celebrated worldwide as Marrow Donor Day.
In a session that lasted for an hour on Google meet, around 250 students joined and they were given valuable lessons on marrow donation, a new frontier of hope that has revolutionized modern day medicine.
We were truly honoured to have Aby Sam John narrate his journey to becoming the first marrow donor of Kerala. His anecdotes of overcoming his fear of needles and giving up his career for this noble cause were fun and inspiring because they shed light on how simple acts of altruism and courage can potentially save lives.
We feel immense gratitude towards DATRI for helping us organise this webinar. Their objectives mirror our own. By pursuing a quest of saving lives through marrow donation, they impart in our minds, an awareness that utters endless echoes of
"Not me, but you".

Wanna bring life back to power? A marrow donation is all it takes and is a very precious gift, everyone can give.
World Marrow Donor Day (WMDD), celebrated on third Saturday of September each year, is a special day to thank all blood stem donors worldwide, raise awareness among the public and decision-makers about the importance of registering as a stem cell donor.
As part of this year's WMDD, we invite you to listen to Mr Aby Sam John*. He is the first person from Kerala to donate his blood stem cells and heads donor recruitment and counselling wing of DATRI- Kerala.
DATRI- a stem cell donor registry is on a mission to save the lives of those suffering from life-threatening fatal blood disorders.
We proudly present the webinar with Mr Aby to inspire and educate us on this wonderful cause. Join us to be a part of this encouraging session today (19, Sep 2020)!!
