Kupwara, June, 27: Prop. P. L Gautam Former Chairperson PVV & FRA & Vice-Chancellor, GBPUA & T today laid the foundation stone of Administrative Building-cum-Laboratory Block of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kupwara at Regipora.

The ceremony was held in presence of District Development Commissioner Kupwara Anshul Garg (IAS), Vice Chancellor SKUAST-Kashmir, Prof Nazeer Ahmad, Director ICAR-ATARI Dr. Rajbir Singh, Director Extention Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad, Programme Coordinator, KVK Kupwara, Prof. Imtiyaz Ahmad Lone, Estates Officer/ Chief Engineer Syed Iqbal Aga, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer other Officers of district administration were also present. A large number of people from the catchment areas, various local and other people attended the occasion.

World Soil Day was celebrated by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kupwara at Sheikh-Ul-Aalam Environmental Hall Handwara today December 5th 2017. Mr. Bashir Ahmad Dar, Hon’ble MLA District Kupwara, Professor Sheikh Bilal, Dean Faculty of Agriculture Wadura, Dr Raihana Habib Kanth, Prof & Head Agronomy, Dr Mustaq Ahmad Wani, Head Soil Science, Scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, officers from department of Agriculture and Horticulture and a large number of Progressive farmers were present to embellish the event. Soil health cards were distributed amongst farmers of Kupwara by KVK. Power Point presentation had been arranged to draw attention of farmers towards the importance and improvement of soil health in their fields
