"Congratulations to Shri T Appanna Sahu for being awarded 'Best Employee' for the month of October 2024 by the Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman! This recognition aims to inspire all employees to work with dedication & excellence.

The District Administration of North & Middle Andaman organized a district-level drawing competition on 4th Oct 2024, with 130 students participating. Themes included Swachhta, Say No to Drugs, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Promoting Tourism, and Malnutrition-Free N&MA. A great display of creativity and social awareness!

The Deputy Commissioner (NMA) honored 10 tradesmen and beneficiaries, including carpenters, barbers, masons, washermen, fishing net makers, and hammer and toolkit makers, by presenting them with the PM Vishwakarma beneficiary identity card and certificates from the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises. This recognition highlights the skills of artisans and craftspeople. The beneficiaries will undergo basic training for 7 days and advanced training further.

"On the occasion of , the District Office North & Middle Andaman paid a heartfelt tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. The celebration began with the garlanding of Gandhiji's portrait by the Deputy Commissioner (N&MA), followed by senior officials offering floral tributes. A serene atmosphere was created as all present participated in the Sarva Dharma Prarthana, reflecting Gandhiji’s belief in the unity of all religions. The event culminated with the soulful rendition of Ram Dhun, a symbol of peace and harmony. This celebration highlighted the enduring relevance of Gandhiji's teachings of non-violence, truth, and unity. "

"DC Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, inaugurated the 'Beti Badhai Sandesh' at Dr. RP Hospital, Mayabunder, celebrating girl child birth, promoting health and education. Baby kits & certificates were distributed. to tackle malnutrition also highlighted. "

Under the PRAYAS initiative, higher secondary students from North and Middle Andaman took part in an educational exposure visit to local power stations, gaining hands-on experience in power generation and distribution. A step towards nurturing future engineers and innovators!

Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman, Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, chaired a detailed review meeting with the Engineering Wing of Panchayati Raj Institutions to assess projects at different levels viz. Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad level. Discussions centered on current activities, ongoing tenders and pending estimates. Emphasis was placed on enhancing project speed and overcoming obstacles, with a strong focus on quality and on-time completion.
