A visionary leader, pioneer, and recipient of numerous lifetime honours, he devoted decades of his life to strengthening India’s maritime stature and inspiring generations of seafarers. His extraordinary contribution to the maritime world, his unwavering commitment to excellence, and the legacy he leaves behind will forever remain etched in the annals of maritime history. He will be remembered with profound respect, admiration, and gratitude. May his noble soul rest in eternal peace.

We are pleased to share that CMMI Warden Capt.Amandeep Singh Bhalla, who is also the Chairman – Membership & Seminar Working Committee, made a special visit to the CMMI Chandigarh Chapter on invitation.
An engaging and highly interactive meet‑up was held with enthusiastic CMMI members and shipping industry professionals at the Chandigarh Club on 17 March 2026. Despite limited time, the session generated valuable insights focused on enhancing CMMI visibility, membership growth, and chapter engagement.
A key discussion centered on the impact of the current geopolitical situation on shipping and seafarers, which led to meaningful exchanges and perspectives from participants.
