Exotic ornamental fish, aquatic plants, and small pets are being sold across various states like Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, New Delhi, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. While they may look beautiful, many are now evolving into invasive species!

For example, fish like mosquito fish, tilapia, giant gourami, guppies, and platyfish have been spotted in the Chalakudy River, located in the Western Ghats—a biodiversity hotspot! 🌍 These species could pose a threat to the delicate balance of the ecosystem.

गंगा की यात्रा..

एक और पडोसी नदी से मुलाक़ात

बिहार के छपरा जिले में घाघरा नदी गंगा का हिस्सा बन जाती है। घाघरा अपने साथ भागीरथी की पडोसी नदियाँ, महाकाली और सरयू का पानी समेटे हुए गंगा में मिलती है।

यमुना का साथ..

अगल-बगल के ग्लेशियरों से निकलने के बावजूद गंगा की मुलाक़ात यमुना से प्रयागराज में होती है। इस तरह 1376 किमी की दूरी तय करने के बाद यमुना खुद गंगा का हिस्सा बन जाती है।

यह है, रावी नदी। यह सिंधु के सहायक पंचनद के सबसे छोटी नदी है। रावी नदी हिमाचल प्रदेश के रोहतांग दर्रे से निकलकर हिमाचल प्रदेश, जम्मू काश्मीर, पंजाब होते हुए पाकिस्तान की सीमा में प्रवेश करती है और पाकिस्तान में चिनाब नदी में सामहित हो जाती है।
