NSS - Cbpgec jaffarpur DELHI

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN SUMMER INTERNSHIP by the students of CBPGEC.
The students of CBPGEC actively participated in the summer internship conducted by the government of India under SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN.
The students were alloted the Nangli Sakravati village on Najafgarh Road where they demonstrated the importance of cleanliness and personal hygiene to the villagers and to a Coed school consisting of 1200 students.
The CBPGEC team conducted a drawing competition in the school's premises and awarded the winners with goodies.
The team also conducted various surveys and made wall paintings portraying the importance of cleanliness.
The team secured the first position in the college for their splendid work contributing their bit to the society.

Few glimpses of New India Pledge held on 9th August, 2017 at 9.30 A.M. at CBP Government Engineering College Jaffarpur,Delhi in connection with celebration of 75th year of 'Quit India Movement' and 70th year of India's Independence.

The blood donation camp is back again in the campus 😁

Òn 12th Jan 2017 CBPGEC celebrated the NATIONAL YOUTH DAY (Yuva Diwas) in the memory of the great SWAMI VIVEKANANDA .
The event consisted of lectures , poetry , short shorties on the life style of Swami ji and students of 1st year grasped the best out of it.

Sept. 24 is observed as National Service Scheme(NSS) Day.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year, 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community linkage.
The main objectives of National Service Scheme (NSS) are :

i. understand the community in which they work
ii. understand themselves in relation to their community
iii. identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in problem-solving
iv. develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
v. utilise their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems
vi. develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities
vii. gain skills in mobilising community participation
viii. acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes
ix. develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters and
x. practise national integration and social harmony.
Motto:

The Motto of NSS "Not Me But You", reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS helps the students develop appreciation to other person's point of view and also show consideration to '/other living beings. The philosophy of the NSS is well doctrined in this motto, which underlines/on the belief that the welfare .of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society on the whole and therefore, the NSS volunteers shall strive for the well-being of the society.

Celebrating the 153rd birth anniversary of the SON OF THE SOIL - Swami Vivekananda ; the whole GEC Family gathered to give tribute to the great inspiring figure.
His life and thoughts were shared on the YOUTH DAY . :)
