An interaction session with around 250 Praharis was held today at the lawns behind PS Kartavya Path by the Addl. DCP, New Delhi District. The participants were motivated to further enhance community vigilance and police-public cooperation. Valuable feedback on policing and public safety was also received, reinforcing our commitment to a safer and more secure community.

๐ Picket Checking Conducted by New Delhi District Police
To strengthen security and ensure public safety, intensive picket checking was carried out across various locations in New Delhi District. Vehicles and suspicious persons were thoroughly checked, and police personnel remained vigilant to deter crime and maintain law & order.

๐ช๐ Empowering Through Self-Defence!
The Self-Defence Training Programme organized by Parivartan Cell, New Delhi District at Central Government Employees RWA, Pandara Road concluded successfully today after a week-long training from 23.05.2026 to 31.05.2026.
Addl. DCP-II, New Delhi District attended the valedictory function and encouraged the participants. Certificates and mementos were distributed to recognize their dedication and successful completion of the programme.
Through such initiatives, Parivartan Cell continues to promote personal safety, confidence, and community empowerment, contributing towards a safer and more aware society.

๐ฅ Sampark Sabha Conducted by DCP New Delhi District
DCP New Delhi District interacted with around 300 police personnel at Vimarsh Hall Auditorium during a Sampark Sabha, listening to their grievances and concerns related to service and welfare matters. Necessary directions were issued for timely redressal of the issues raised.

On the occasion, a distinguished social worker and community leader was felicitated with a Commendation Card and memento for valuable contributions towards organizing a health camp in collaboration with Delhi Police. The initiative benefited nearly 200 police personnel and their family members, reinforcing the commitment towards their health and well-being.

๐จ PO APPREHENDED BY PS BARAKHAMBA ROAD ๐จ
In a sustained drive against absconding offenders, staff of PS Barakhamba Road, New Delhi District apprehended a Proclaimed Offender declared by the Honโble Patiala House Courts in connection with CC No. 11775/2017.
The accused was traced and arrested near Uttam Nagar West after continuous surveillance, local intelligence and persistent efforts by the police team.
New Delhi District Police remains committed towards ensuring that absconding offenders are brought to justice.

Students from ITIHAAS (Indian Traditions and Heritage Society) visited PS Parliament Street as part of their Heritage Classroom Programme to learn about policing, women safety mechanisms, record management, crowd handling, Malkhana procedures and the role of police in society.
Such interactive visits encourage awareness, civic responsibility and trust between youth and law enforcement.

Parivartan Cell of New Delhi District organised impactful Self Defence Awareness Programmes at Swati Girls/Women Hostel, PS Mandir Marg & Central Government Employees RWA, Pandara Road, New Delhi. Around 82 participants actively attended the sessions focused on women empowerment, personal safety, confidence building & practical self-defence techniques. The initiative was highly appreciated by participants for spreading awareness and promoting a safer community.

๐จ Swift investigation by PS Parliament Street, New Delhi District led to the successful detection of a theft case in which a cab driver fled with a passengerโs belongings after dropping her near Gurudwara Bangla Sahib.
Through meticulous analysis of around 100 CCTV cameras, technical surveillance, local intelligence and multiple raids, the accused was traced and arrested. Stolen belongings along with the Wagon-R used in the offence were recovered.
