Representing Team India through the Indian Yogasana Sports Federation, recognized by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, Master Shaurya Kumar showcased exceptional skill, precision, and dedication in the 10–14 years age category and won 03 Gold Medals in:

He also secured the 2nd Runner Up Trophy in Champion of Champions (Below 28).

GAIL (India) Limited at Varanasi has successfully enabled 7 housing societies to transition from LPG to Domestic Piped Natural Gas (DPNG), making them LPG-free communities.

This large-scale transition has benefited nearly 3200 families, reinforcing the growing acceptance of cleaner, safer, and more convenient energy solutions among urban households.

The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s vision of promoting a gas-based economy and reflects GAIL’s continued commitment towards sustainable energy adoption, enhanced consumer convenience, and reduction in carbon footprint.

The shift from LPG cylinders to DPNG not only ensures uninterrupted gas supply and improved safety, but also contributes significantly towards responsible energy consumption and better urban living standards.

As per the Government notification dated 25 May 2026, households with an active PNG connection are advised to discontinue the use of their domestic LPG connection. Consumers are required to either surrender their LPG connection or obtain a Transfer Voucher within 30 days of PNG activation, enabling future LPG eligibility in non-PNG areas.

In a significant achievement, 100 housing societies across NCT of Delhi, comprising nearly 12,500 families, have embraced cleaner and more convenient energy solutions through PNG adoption.

The growing shift towards PNG reflects increasing awareness about safe, reliable, and environment-friendly fuel alternatives that contribute towards reducing dependence on LPG and supporting a gas-based economy.

Such initiatives are playing an important role in strengthening urban energy infrastructure, improving convenience for households, and contributing towards cleaner air and sustainable living in the capital region.

Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), a Group Company of GAIL (India) Limited, is accelerating the transition towards Piped Natural Gas (PNG) adoption across Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

In a remarkable achievement, 139 housing societies across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane have now become LPG-free, covering nearly 33,000 households.

This transition reflects the growing trust in PNG as a cleaner, safer, convenient, and uninterrupted energy solution for urban homes. It also aligns with the Government of India’s vision of expanding gas-based infrastructure and promoting sustainable energy adoption.

The initiative marks another important milestone in strengthening city gas distribution networks and contributing towards improved air quality, enhanced safety, and responsible energy management in urban communities.
