विश्व युवक केंद्र के सहयोग से विश्व हाथ धुलाई दिवस पर इंडिया कॉलिंग यूथ का आह्वान: कुसुमपुर पहाड़ी के बच्चों के लिए स्वच्छता कार्यशाला का आयोजन

नई दिल्ली: विश्व हाथ धुलाई दिवस के अवसर पर, इंडिया कॉलिंग यूथ, विश्व युवक केंद्र और फान्सा इंडिया ने संयुक्त रूप से आज नई दिल्ली-57 स्थित कुसुमपुर पहाड़ी की झुग्गी-झोपड़ी में रहने वाले बच्चों के लिए व्यक्तिगत स्वच्छता और हाथ धुलाई पर एक कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया।

यह कार्यशाला (स्टडी कैसल 002) बी-380, मद्रासी मंदिर, कुसुमपुर पहाड़ी, नई दिल्ली - 57 में आयोजित की गई।

गेस्ट स्पीकर पर्सन- श्रीमान मुकेश डायरेक्टर वॉकिंग मेन पावर जी ने सभी बच्चों को पर्सनल हाइजीन के महत्व के बारे में बताया साथ की पर्सनल हाइजीन कीट देकर उनको भविष्य को स्वस्थ बनाने की शुभ कामनाएं दी

सुश्री राशि -ने खेलों का उपयोग करके युवाओं को व्यक्तिगत स्वच्छता के महत्व को समझाने के लिए शानदार सत्र आयोजित किए। बच्चों ने खेल-खेल में स्वच्छता के बारे में महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्राप्त की।

सुश्री स्वाति -ने हाथ धोने के सही तरीके का प्रदर्शन किया। उन्होंने बच्चों को स्टेप-बाय-स्टेप सिखाया कि कैसे अपने हाथों को अच्छी तरह से धोना है ताकि बीमारियों से बचा जा सके। सुश्री स्वाति ने कार्यशाला के लिए आवश्यक सभी सामग्रियों की व्यवस्था की। यह सत्र जानकारी और मनोरंजन से भरपूर था।

45 से अधिक युवाओं ने कार्यशाला में भाग लिया। इस पूरी कार्यशाला का नेतृत्व इंडिया कॉलिंग यूथ के चेंज एजेंट्स ने किया। उन्होंने बच्चों को स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूक रहने और अपने दैनिक जीवन में इसे अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित किया।

इस अवसर पर, इंडिया कॉलिंग यूथ के प्रतिनिधियों ने कहा कि बच्चों को स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूक करना बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है, क्योंकि यह उन्हें बीमारियों से बचाने में मदद करता है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह कार्यशाला बच्चों को स्वच्छता के प्रति जागरूक करने की दिशा में एक छोटा सा प्रयास है। सभी बच्चों को पर्सनल हाइजीन कीट व रिफ्रेशमेंट भी वितरित किए

विश्व युवक केंद्र संग इंडिया कॉलिंग यूथ की यह पहल निश्चित रूप से बच्चों के जीवन में सकारात्मक परिवर्तन लाएगी और उन्हें स्वच्छता के महत्व को समझने में मदद करेगी।

Today we had the honor of hosting an impactful event focused on the critical intersection of menstrual health management (MHM). Our Chief Guest, Dr. Satish Chandra, Retd. PF Commissioner, delivered an enlightening address on the linkages between SDGs and good health and well-being, emphasizing the importance of integrating these goals into our community health initiatives. Ms. Sudha Jhijaria, Head-CSR Operations BHB at Apollo Hospitals Enterprises Limited, followed with a thought-provoking discussion on the challenges and opportunities in MHM, shedding light on the urgent need for awareness and action in this area.

With nearly 50 passionate participants in attendance, the event was a vibrant mix of storytelling, solidarity, and strategy. Attendees shared their lived experiences and insights, fostering a sense of community leadership and highlighting inclusive approaches to menstrual health. The discussions not only raised awareness but also inspired collective action towards breaking the stigma surrounding menstruation.

As a co-convener of the FANSA Chapter, our organization proudly represents extensive experience in menstrual hygiene campaigns. We aim to challenge the myths and taboos that often surround this natural process. By fostering open conversations and sharing knowledge, we strive to empower individuals and communities to embrace menstrual health as a fundamental aspect of overall well-being.

We are grateful to all our speakers and participants for their contributions and commitment to this vital cause. Together, we can continue to advocate for better menstrual health practices and contribute to achieving the SDGs. Join us in this journey towards a healthier, more inclusive future!

On May 28, 2025, the India is Calling Youth Foundation, in collaboration with Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, proudly celebrated Menstrual Hygiene Day. This significant event aimed to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene management and promote open conversations around this essential topic. The theme for this year was “Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future,” focusing on the critical role that young people play in driving change in menstrual health practices.

Event Highlights

The celebration commenced with an opening address from Vishwa yuvak kenda Mr Rakesh ji and Team .
India is calling youth foundation Team Mrs Sunita Singh , Rashi Timsi, and Karishma who emphasized the importance of menstrual hygiene and its impact on the health and well-being of individuals and communities. This was followed by an engaging presentation from our esteemed guest speaker, Mr. Niraj Gera from the Humanify Organization.

Mr. Gera shared invaluable insights into the challenges surrounding menstrual hygiene, particularly in underserved communities. His presentation highlighted the following key points:

1. Understanding Menstrual Health: Mr. Gera provided a comprehensive overview of menstrual health, discussing biological aspects and societal taboos that often hinder open dialogue.

2. Importance of Education: He stressed the need for comprehensive education regarding menstrual hygiene, emphasizing that knowledge empowers individuals to make informed choices.

3. Community Engagement: Mr. Gera shared successful case studies from various initiatives that have effectively engaged communities in menstrual health discussions and practices.

4. Sustainable Solutions: The presentation also focused on sustainable menstrual products and practices, advocating for environmentally friendly options that can benefit both users and the planet.

Interactive Session

Following the presentation, an interactive QA session allowed attendees to engage directly with Mr. Gera. Participants expressed their thoughts and asked questions about implementing effective menstrual hygiene practices in their communities. The discussion fostered a collaborative atmosphere, encouraging attendees to share their experiences and ideas.

The event concluded with a call to action, urging everyone present to take the knowledge gained and apply it within their communities. Attendees were encouraged to advocate for better menstrual hygiene practices and to support initiatives that aim to educate others.

The celebration of Menstrual Hygiene Day served as a powerful reminder of the importance of breaking the silence surrounding menstruation and promoting a culture of openness and support. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Sign of Skill Project and the Navjyoti India Foundation marks a significant milestone in our collaborative efforts to empower underprivileged youth. This partnership is built on a shared vision of fostering skill development and enhancing employability among marginalized communities. By formalizing our commitment through this MOU, we aim to create a structured framework that outlines our mutual goals, responsibilities, and the specific areas of collaboration. This agreement not only strengthens our partnership but also sets the stage for impactful initiatives that will transform the lives of many young individuals.

Under this MOU, both organizations will work together to design and implement skill courses. The Navjyoti India Foundation's extensive experience in social development and grassroots engagement complements the Sign of Skill Project's focus on skill enhancement and employment readiness. Through joint efforts, we will provide participants with access to high-quality training, mentorship, and resources that empower them to acquire valuable skills in various sectors. This collaboration will not only equip youth with practical knowledge but also instill confidence and resilience, enabling them to pursue sustainable livelihoods and contribute positively to their families and communities.

Furthermore, the MOU emphasizes the importance of monitoring and evaluation to assess the impact of our programs. By establishing clear metrics for success, both organizations can ensure that we are effectively meeting our objectives and making a meaningful difference in the lives of participants. Regular feedback loops will enable us to adapt our training methodologies and address any challenges that may arise. Ultimately, this partnership represents a commitment to driving social change through education and empowerment, paving the way for a brighter future for underprivileged youth in our society. Together, we are dedicated to creating opportunities that foster growth, dignity, and self-sufficiency among those we serve.
