Shri Manoj Kumar Modi from EESL spoke about consumer empowerment and utility transformation as a panelist at the 4th Conference on Smart Metering, organised by CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) on 6 May 2026 in New Delhi.
Highlighting EESL’s rollout of over 5 million smart meters under the SMNP, he emphasized how smart electricity & gas metering enables real-time consumption visibility, prepayment flexibility, improved billing accuracy, and reduced losses making energy management smarter, transparent, and consumer-centric.

The Capacity Building Training on “Unlocking Energy Savings through Impactful Building Retrofitting” was successfully conducted on 27 March 2026 at SCOPE Convention Centre, New Delhi.
Designed for ESCOs, Energy Auditors, and ECBC Master Trainers, the programme covered sustainable cooling technologies, natural refrigerants, ESCO business models, energy economics, and carbon markets.
Organised under the Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition (ALCBT) Project, the training strengthened technical capabilities and highlighted pathways to enhance building efficiency and reduce emissions—marking another step towards India’s low-carbon future.
