In Mongol Puri, continuing our efforts with the Bal Panchayat. An iterative way of arriving at foundational problems relevant to the community. Today's progress - 1) These 13 year olds have their first email IDs. 2) They identified the root cause of all solid waste problems to be 'Piggy' (don't underestimate the analysis).

We were in Mongol Puri this week, trying to take the Children participation and empowerment to the next level. These self reliant children know what Governance structures to look like and are no strangers to advocacy. Bal-panchayats are in vogue for good.

We were in Indira Nagar, Faridabad this week trying to explore Citizen Advocacy fronts and campaigns that the young and enthused folks of the community have been upto. From getting themselves a tubewell, to fighting sexual misconduct in school, the empowerment of some of these 14 year olds will take you by surprise. We promise. Also, these kids can do with some tutoring help for the economically weaker households. Do get in touch if you think you could contribute with your time.

A successful submission and a fruitful conclusion of one of our most intense campaigns. BSES was ever so supportive in helping us understand their Plan of Action around the overhanging electric wires and bent poles in East Delhi. An overhaul of wiring system, and a combination of 'looping connections' is on its way.
