Last week, during the ongoing hospitality training of our Sheroes at Taj Hotels, Kolkata, Shammi, one of our resilient Sheroes, participated in a blood donation drive for the very first time.
A small act for many, but for her, it was a moment of courage, compassion, and confidence. From rebuilding her own life to now contributing towards saving someone else’s, this journey reflects the strength and spirit our Sheroes carry every single day.

To every mother who stood strong when the world turned away… thank you.
Behind every Sheroes’ journey of healing, courage, and rebuilding, there is often a mother who refused to give up. In the darkest moments, when pain felt unbearable and hope seemed distant, it was a mother’s love that became strength, shelter, and silence-filled support.
Because that’s what mothers do. They stand beside us, even when words fail. They fight for us, pray for us, and hold us together when life tries to break us apart.
No amount of gratitude can ever truly repay what a mother does for her children. And perhaps that is why all we can say today is a heartfelt thank you.
From all of us at Chhanv and Sheroes, wishing love, strength, and gratitude to every mother around the world.
Happy Mother’s Day.

This weekend, our West Bengal team had a truly meaningful and engaging day in collaboration with কণ্ঠস্বর, a student-led initiative by the Resilient Club of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology under the World Rotaract Week programme “Drishtikon.” The session brought together students and survivors for an open conversation on women’s safety, everyday violence, and the importance of awareness and rights. Our survivors shared their personal journeys and insights, creating a powerful and honest space for dialogue, reflection, and learning. Alongside the discussions, we also conducted a bracelet-making workshop, adding a creative and interactive element to the day. It was a beautiful blend of meaningful conversations and shared experiences, fostering empathy, understanding, and a collective commitment towards creating safer spaces for women.
