Holy Angels' Church Kokar

The Parish of the Holy Angel’s Church Kokar aims to make Christ known and loved and promote the salvation of all through pastoral, educative and social involvement.
That our parish community grows deeper in faith and love of Christ through active participation in liturgy and involvement in the parish activity.
The parish also aims to create a vibrant Christian community of good and upright citizens who will be catalysts of bring positive changes in the society.

The Parish of Kokar was created by dividing the Cathedral Parish of Ranchi in 1985. The present church was built by Fr. Guido Colussi, a veteran Italian missionary who became its first parish priest. Spread over the area of 8 square kilometers, it boasts of over 70,000 populations who speak Hindi, Kharia, Mundari, Kurukh, sadri and English and belong to Hindu, Muslim, Christian and Sarna religious communities.
