*GCC Gurha Slathia Organises Sports Activities at Govt Schools; Distributes Sports Kits to Students*

*Gurha Slathia, Samba:* Guidance and Counselling Cell for Youth Development (GCC), Gurha Slathia organised sports activities at *Govt Girls High School Gurha Slathia, Govt Middle School Bhadwal and Govt Girls Middle School Thalori*.

During the programme, GCC team distributed sports equipments to the students and motivated them to actively participate in sports.

Speaking on the occasion, members of GCC said that the main aim is to channelize the energy of new generation in the right direction and keep them away from drugs and mobile addiction. Sports not only keeps us physically fit but also teaches discipline, teamwork and leadership.

Students participated with great enthusiasm in different games. The staff of all three schools appreciated the efforts of GCC Gurha Slathia for encouraging sports culture at grassroots level and engaging youth in constructive activities.

GCC team assured to continue such activities in other schools of the area in future as well.

*EXCISE DEPARTMENT PROMOTES SPORTS AND NASHA MUKT AWARENESS AT GURHA SLATHIA*
Gurha Slathia | 30th September 2026*
On the directions of Worthy _Excise Commissioner Sh. Vaibhav Kohli_, and under the guidance of _Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu, Sh. Sanjay Bhat_, along with _Technical PA to Excise Commissioner, Dr. Anil Chandan_, the Excise Department organised a sports and awareness programme at _Baba Hasal Dev Ji Stadium, Gurha Slathia._
During the programme, _indoor gym equipment/machines were installed_ at the stadium to promote fitness, sports and healthy recreational activities among the youth and local residents.
A _volleyball match_ was also conducted as part of the initiative, followed by the distribution of prizes and trophies 🏆 among the participating teams.
The programme was attended by _Excise & Taxation Officer Sh. Parteek Panjathia, Inspector Varun Chandan and Inspector Hankar Singh Thakur, Ex DDC Member Sh. Sudarshan Singh Slathia, Sh. Shekhar Slathia, Sh. Jaipal Singh, Sh. Ballu Slathia, Sh. Uttkansh Slathia_ and many other officers of Excise Department, local residents and sports enthusiasts.
The initiative aimed at encouraging the youth towards sports, fitness and a healthy lifestyle, while creating awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse. The Excise Department also reiterated its commitment towards strengthening _Nasha Mukt_ programmes and encouraging greater public participation in the campaign against drugs.
The people of Gurha Slathia expressed their gratitude to the Excise Department and appreciated the initiative.
The programme concluded with a message to the youth: *“Choose Sports, Choose Fitness, Choose a Drug-Free Life.”*

*GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING CELL FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, GURHA SLATHIA FELICITATES MR. HAPPU SAMBYAL*

In a moment of pride and gratitude, the *Guidance and Counseling Cell for Youth Development (GCC), Gurha Slathia* felicitated *Mr. Happu Sambyal, President - Shri Amar Kshatriya Kumar Sabha, District Samba*, for his outstanding support to the youth of Gurha Slathia.

Mr. Happu Sambyal has been a constant source of inspiration and guidance for the youth. Under his able leadership, the Amar Kshatriya Kumar Sabha has been working tirelessly for youth welfare, and his personal encouragement has helped GCC in all its initiatives - from cultural programs to career counseling and community service.
