A community meeting regarding Vidyanjali portal was held with parents & SMC members at GMHS 53 on 31.01.26. The event included parents' sensitization, a nukkad natak, poster making, exhibition and Pamphlets distribution.

Today on 15th November 2025 the celebration of Janjatiya Gaurav Divas was concluded at GMHS -53 in the form of "Reflection and Presentation Day" which was conducted for 40 students of Class 6th.
The activity included a special assembly and the Screening of an NCERT documentary on tribal icon Birsa Munda.

The students, teachers and staff of GMHS 53 participated in Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 with great enthusiasm today. They not only witnessed the national level event online, but also displayed their own innovative ideas in the form of prototypes and paintings, depicting their vision of Viksit Bharat. Sh. Jasbir Singh Bunty, Senior Deputy Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh was the chief guest on this occasion. He praised the tireless efforts of the students and teachers of the school and also inspired the students to study hard and contribute towards the growth of our nation. He took keen interest in listening the students' vision of Future India and also promised the students to support them in their future endeavours also in all ways possible. The school Headmistress, Mrs. Suman Jaiswal, thanked the chief guest for his valuable time and thoughts and also appreciated the school teachers and students for their hard work.

Independence Day was celebrated at GHS 53 with great fervour. The teachers highlighted the sacrifice of martyrs, sang patriotic songs & poems. The students presented march past, skit & dance. The Headmistress Mrs. Suman Jaiswal inspired students to contribute towards the growth of our nation.

The summer camp concluded at GHS 53 with great enthusiasm amongst the students. All activities held during the six days of camp were recaptulated. A quiz was conducted and the students were appreciated for taking part and learning the new language whole heartedly.

DAY -6 ACTIVITY OF SUMMER CAMP
Promoting Knowledge of Geography and History by Teaching Names of Rivers, Mountains, and Monuments in Bengali
Introducing students of GHS 53 to the names of rivers, mountains, monuments, and other important geographical and historical landmarks in the Bengali language plays a vital role in education. When such terms are taught in Bengali, students not only gain knowledge of geography and history but also develop a deeper connection with other language.
Teaching geographical and historical terms in Bengali enriches students both academically and culturally. It helps them learn about the world around them while nurturing love and respect for other language and heritage.

On Day 5 of the Summer Camp, in order to strengthen India's linguistic heritage and to foster multilingual citizens, animated short stories telling patriotic anecdotes from the lifes of freedom fighters and folk tales were shown to the students in Bengali language with subtitles in Hindi/ English for their profound understanding.
Students were encouraged to write short patriotic anecdotes. The best 3 stories were shared with other students in hybrid mode.

Day 4 Summer Camp GHS 53 : Local cuisines 1. Showcase dishes from Bengal
cultures,with recipes and cooking techniques explained in Bengali.

SUMMER CAMP DAY 2 - The students of GHS 53 practised real life conversation practices in Bengali language. They learnt simple basic sentences. Today the children took a virtual tour of the bus stand in Bengal and also had real life conversations with each other.

During Summer Camp 2025 , Students of GHS 53 were taught how to greet in Bengali on 23-05-2025. Day -to- day greetings were taught through a bilingual video .Students were very enthusiastic to learn to greet in a new language.
