Silchar Extension Centre observed Constitution Day of India on 26th November 2025.

HS(Science) Students of "Vairengte Senior Secondary School(SS)", Under Samagra Sikhsha, Govt. of Mizoram visited for Field Study and Hands on Skilling program in NIELIT Silchar Centre on 20.11.2025. NIELIT officials provided valuable insights into various career opportunities after 10+2.

NIELIT Silchar attended Zonal Career Counselling meet at Cachar College on 15.11.2025 organised by office of the Deputy Director of Employment, Southern Zone. Students of various schools and colleges interacted with NIELIT Officials regarding their career options

A new milestone achieved! Introduction of NIELIT course in one of the premier colleges of Assam, the Haflong Government College, Dima Hasao. In association with IT Cell of Haflong college, NIELIT shall conduct IT courses from duration 3 months to 1 year for exclusively the college students which shall enhance their career prospect in future. A formal inauguration in this regard took place in the Seminar Hall on 3rd March 2025. A total of 62 students started class in the first batch.

Silchar Extension Centre conducted a 3 days boot camp program on "Model Smart Artificial of Things(AIoT) Systems" in Gurucharan College, Silchar from 25th February 2025 to 28th February 2025. A total of 48 students of various UG department attended the program.
