অসমের প্রাক্তন মন্ত্রী সিদ্দেক আহমেদ সাহেবের ইন্তেকালে আমরা গভীরভাবে শোকাহত। তাঁর মৃত্যু তাঁর পরিবার, বন্ধু-বান্ধব, শুভাকাঙ্ক্ষী এবং তাঁকে যাঁরা চিনতেন ও শ্রদ্ধা করতেন, সকলের জন্য এক অপূরণীয় ক্ষতি।
আল্লাহ তাঁকে জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌসের সর্বোচ্চ মর্যাদা দান করুন, তাঁর সকল ভুল-ত্রুটি ক্ষমা করে দিন এবং তাঁর পরিবার ও প্রিয়জনদের এই গভীর শোক ও অপূরণীয় ক্ষতি সহ্য করার শক্তি ও সবর দান করুন।
আল্লাহ তাঁর রূহকে চিরশান্তি দান করুন। আমিন।

Today, I attended a meeting at the District Commissioner’s Conference Hall, Cachar, along with student representatives of Cachar College
We had a healthy and constructive discussion regarding the de-escalation of the ongoing dress-code issue. I requested the Respected District Commissioner to convene a meeting with the heads of various educational institutions in Cachar and take necessary steps to ensure an atmosphere of peace, mutual respect, and cooperation.Every student must be able to pursue education freely and without fear, intimidation, or discrimination. Our educational institutions should remain spaces where students feel safe, respected, and empowered to learn.

I hope that through dialogue and mutual understanding, we can resolve the issue peacefully while upholding the dignity, rights, and educational interests of every student.

Today, I attended a protest march from Indira Bhawan to the Silchar Municipal Corporation office organised by Silchar DCC, highlighting several pressing civic issues affecting the people of Silchar.
The protest raised concerns over:
* Poor road conditions
* Inadequate drainage system
* Traffic congestion
* Improper waste management
* Waterlogging during the rainy season
* Unfair taxes imposed by the Municipal Corporation
Following the march, a delegation submitted a memorandum to the Commissioner of the Silchar Municipal Corporation. The Commissioner assured us of full cooperation and expressed willingness to consider our suggestions and make sincere efforts to address these civic issues and work towards making Silchar a cleaner, more efficient, and better city for all its residents.

We sincerely hope these assurances will be translated into concrete action at the earliest in the interest of the people of Silchar.

On your special day, I also want to convey how much you mean to our nation. You are truly doing a wonderful job of protecting the dignity of every voice that often goes unheard ,whether it is under privileged people, farmers ,students, Manipur issue, or the environment of the Nicobar Islands.
What I admire most about you is that you have never hesitated to raise your voice for those in need. You have consistently looked beyond political gains and losses, choosing instead to stand for justice, compassion, and humanity. Your courage, sincerity, and commitment to the people are truly inspiring.

The mob lynching incident in Patharkandi is deeply shocking and completely unacceptable.
No matter the allegation or circumstance, nobody has the right to take the law into their own hands. Justice can only be delivered through the courts and the legal system—not through mob violence.
I urge the Hon’ble Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to personally intervene and ensure a swift, fair, and impartial investigation. Those responsible must be identified and punished according to law.

Peace, justice, and the rule of law must prevail.

১৯শে মে ভাষা শহীদ দিবসে ভাষা আন্দোলনের সকল শহীদের প্রতি জানাই গভীর শ্রদ্ধা ও বিনম্র প্রণাম।
বাংলা ভাষার মর্যাদা রক্ষার জন্য যাঁরা আত্মবলিদান দিয়েছিলেন, তাঁদের ত্যাগ ও সংগ্রাম চিরকাল আমাদের অনুপ্রেরণা হয়ে থাকবে।
“যে ভাষার জন্য প্রাণ দিয়েছেন শহীদরা,
সে ভাষার মর্যাদা রক্ষা করা আমাদের দায়িত্ব।”
ভাষা শহীদদের আত্মত্যাগ কখনও ভোলার নয়।

On this 19th May, I pay my heartfelt homage to the Language Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the dignity and recognition of the Bengali language in Assam.
I urge the Government of Assam ,Himanta Biswa Sarma ji to declare 19th May as an official state holiday and accord it the recognition and importance it truly deserves in the history of Assam.
Assam has always been a land of diversity, harmony, and coexistence. Recognising the significance of 19th May will strengthen unity among all communities and reaffirm equal respect for Bengali alongside Assamese and all other languages that enrich the cultural fabric of our state.
Honouring every language means honouring every citizen of Assam.
Respect and tribute to the Language Martyrs.
