Minister Satish Sharma felicitated the J&K Deaf Cricket Team for emerging as runner-up in the National T20 Championship for the Deaf. He lauded the players’ resilience and spirited performance, assured full support for their future sporting pursuits, and distributed cricket kits as a mark of encouragement. He also appreciated the coaching staff and expressed confidence that the team will continue to bring laurels to J&K in upcoming tournaments.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a high-level review of CSC operations across J&K, calling for 100% panchayat saturation and a focused plan to expand digital services at the grassroots. He stressed timely onboarding of new services, stronger grievance redressal, promotion of DigiLocker, and support for establishing Digital Centres of Excellence in all districts.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, reviewed winter preparedness for regulating vehicular movement on the SSG road and Zojila Pass. He stressed close coordination amongq district authorities, Police, BRO/BEACON and allied agencies, along with strict traffic enforcement, passenger facilitation, medical support, deployment of recovery machinery, and a joint control room for seamless winter mobility.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, chaired a meeting to review preparedness for vibrant winter tourism activities at Sonamarg in view of the all-weather tunnel ensuring uninterrupted access. He stressed proactive planning by District Administration Ganderbal & SDA to promote Sonamarg as a premier winter destination. He also directed strict inspection of hotels, safety measures, and coordinated arrangements for snow clearance, traffic, emergency response & essential services.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, reviewed ATRs on stray animal management in line with Supreme Court directions. He called for constitution of SPCAs, directed departments to enhance fencing, nominate nodal officers, launch IEC campaigns on dog-bite first aid, ensure availability of Anti-Rabies Vaccines, identify land for ABC centres, and regulate waste dumps to minimise risks.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a meeting to review augmentation of MBBS, PG and super-speciality seats across GMCs and allied medical institutions in J&K. He directed all colleges to fast-track proposals as soon as the NMC portal opens and emphasised strengthening DM/MCh capacity. The H&ME Department briefed on the significant increase in seats achieved last year and upcoming expansion plans.

Minister for Health & Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo held a public outreach session in Srinagar, meeting legislators, public delegations and employee groups who raised various sectoral issues. She reaffirmed that the Government is committed to accessible, transparent and people-centric governance that reflects the aspirations of every section of society.

Minister for FCS&CA, IT, Transport, YSS & ARI Training, Satish Sharma inaugurated the 10th blood donation camp at Trikuta Group of Colleges, held in memory of Founder Chairman Late Dr. Roop Lal Sharma. He praised Shri Sain Charitable Trust for fostering social responsibility, appreciated the volunteers, and reaffirmed government support for humanitarian initiatives.

Jal Shakti Minister Javed Ahmed Rana met a delegation of the Durga Nagar Welfare Coordination Committee, which raised concerns over inadequate water supply in Durga Nagar, Dogra Nagar and adjoining areas. The Minister issued directions for immediate action and assured long-term measures to strengthen the supply system.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo reviewed progress on establishing JNVs and KVs across J&K, emphasising the need to fast-track land identification, temporary accommodations and infrastructure readiness. He underscored that infrastructural delays must not hinder the early operationalisation of these premier institutions, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to expanding quality education in underserved areas.

Forest Minister Javed Ahmed Rana attended the annual day of MIER College and congratulated students for their achievements in academics, research, sports and community service. He urged youth to embrace innovation, overcome challenges with resilience and contribute positively to society. The Minister appreciated the college’s nurturing environment, modern infrastructure and focus on holistic, future-ready education.

Minister Sakeena Itoo met several MLAs and public delegations at the Civil Secretariat Srinagar, reviewing issues related to health, education, roads, drinking water and essential supplies. She reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to accessible, responsive administration and assured timely redressal of genuine public concerns under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
