Our beautiful girl has left us for now. Thank you to all who respected the family’s wish yesterday to not post until all relatives were informed. That wasn’t easy. It’s hard to hold back from not wanting to pay tribute to Eimear, to want to talk about her with pride and remember the fun she brought to our lives. Even in ill health, over the last number of years and months, there have been so many hilarious moments of devilment, even in the hospital. It’s ironic that she passed on the same week as Sinead O’ Connor. Eimear had so many similar traits to her. A teller of truths, a warrior mna hEireann fighting spirit that served her until the end. She didn’t want to let go, she wanted to stay for the loves of her life Erin and Don, and to continue to meet every day with a child like sense of wonder. Are hearts are broken, quiet possibly beyond ever repair, but they are also full, and it was never going to by any other way, because from a woman like our Eimear, there is no going back. Take your rest no chuisle, no one deserves it more than you. 💕💔

It’s with heartfelt sadness that we offer our deepest condolences to our girl Sharon, Karen and the kids and the Scanlon family on the devastating news of Dave’s passing earlier today. It’s truely impossible to understand how cruel life can be sometimes. He leaves an irreplaceable void. See you for the session on the other side Bro.

One of the founding members of the Irish Scootergirls Alliance S.C. is in need of a little love and support. Eimear has been a proactive supporter of all things scooter related in Ireland and in Europe for many years. She has been on numerous commitees fundraising for various charities and organisations, and would be the first to offer her services if a need such as this arose. Eimear has had serious medical issues recently and needs to continue treatment for a successful recovery. Unfortunately, Eimear must travel for the treatment needed as it is not available here in Ireland. As a result, the cost falls on our friend and her family. This is a stressful time, as it is, on a family without added financial strain. I ask the scootering community to consider helping one of your own and ease the burden even a little. If you could follow the link, donate, and share we here at the scootergirls alliance would be eternally grateful. We want our pal back zipping around Ireland's roads.
Thank you in advance, and let's get this scootergirl back on track.
