God bless this nation! The nation is sick and is in desperate need of healing! Gun violence at any level, especially at an event with the President and his Cabinet, should not be the norm of our nation.

U.S. Captures Venezuelan Leader, Trump Says: Live Updates 03/01/2026

Let’s be clear: neither the AUMF nor any other federal statute gives the President the authority to invade a foreign sovereign nation, seize its leader, and trigger political, economic, and militaristic chaos.

While the Maduro regime is clearly a dictatorship and its actions are inhumane, abhorrent, and reprehensible, that reality does not override the constitutional limits on the President of the United States or justify an encroachment on Congress’s war powers.

According to early reports, the administration’s negligent failure to notify or seek the advice of the Gang of Eight is inconsistent with federal law.

The wrongs of the Maduro regime and the Trump administration, in tonight’s actions, do not make a right.

We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and hope for the best for the Venezuelan people and for the people and Constitution of the United States.

U.S. Captures Venezuelan Leader, Trump Says: Live Updates President Trump announced that U.S. forces had carried out “a large scale strike against Venezuela” and were flying President Nicolás Maduro and his wife out of the country. The Trump administration had been building pressure on Mr. Maduro for months.

It was an honor for Chairman to surrogate for at , speaking with the future leaders of our great state. The students were remarkable and asked great questions about each governor candidate and what the candidates want for the future of this state. As a mother of four, Mikie understands the importance of getting New Jersey back on the right track, making the state more affordable and continuing to make NJ a great place for young people to set down roots for years to come. Thank you to Rabbi Kirsch and the entire school for the invite and great dialogue.

Why This Young Black NJ Democrat Is Standing With Mikie Sherrill for Governor - Insider NJ 14/09/2025

“Real public servants lead by listening—listening to the struggles of everyday people and crafting policy solutions that allow us not just to survive, but to thrive. The fact that Mikie has only been campaigning for less than a year—while her opponent has been running for Governor for over a decade—and yet is leading in the polls proves she and her campaign have been listening and are more in tune with New Jersey voters across all demographics.”

While I cannot say I agreed with Charlie on most issues, I can unequivocally say that he did not deserve to be killed. At the end of the day, we are human beings with unalienable rights, such as freedom of speech, and Charlie’s life was stolen from him over what appears to be political differences. I pray for his family and loved ones, and I hope that we, as a nation, can work together to ensure that political violence becomes a thing of the past and is not carried forward for future generations to bear. Full statement in the graphics.

Hey NJ! There’s been a lot of party infighting lately with the gubernatorial primary election now less than 48 hours away. But let’s remember: no matter who emerges victorious on June 11th, we must be an example of what a united Democratic Party looks like—because there is simply too much at stake this November.

Speaking from personal experience just yesterday—two bags of groceries cost me over $200. The President said he’d bring down costs on “day one” but average Americans aren’t seeing any results of that promise and are actually seeing a volitile economy. What scares me even more is thinking about families living paycheck to paycheck, single moms forced to choose between keeping a roof over their children’s heads or putting food on the table—or those who could lose healthcare because of the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill.”

We have a unique opportunity here in the Garden State to show the nation what Democratic unity and leadership can look like—to pave a path toward a more prosperous and beautiful future for all New Jerseyans. So, make sure to vote early, drop off your vote-by-mail ballot, or head to the polls on Tuesday with your head held high for your preferred candidate. And then—no matter the outcome—keep the faith, and work just as hard for our party’s nominee this November. Our state, and our country, cannot afford a fractured party when we have so much on the line.

WATCH LIVE: Sen. Elissa Slotkin delivers the Democratic response to Trump's address to Congress 05/03/2025

What was that?!?

If you didn’t catch the response from Michigan Senator, Elissa Slotkin, go watch it now because that was 100% what needs to be heard and how we must conduct ourselves during these times. But from the debate stage when Trump said he had “concepts of a plan” to address the economy and rising cost for average working class folks to tonight’s speech, it is clear there was never a plan. Plan to address the price of eggs, milk, daily essentials, housing, healthcare, all of which were nonexistent in this speech. As everyone knows that in your first 100 days as president, you have the most clout to get things done—especially if you win with a mandate to address the economic needs of the people. But none of that was present in this speech or in Trump’s actions since returning to power. Hopefully, that changes in the coming days, but given his admission that these tariffs will hurt average folks, meaningful change seems unlikely.

President Trump mentioned social issues like DEI more in one speech than some Democrats did during the entire election cycle, using buzzwords like “woke” while appearing uninterested in addressing real, tangible problems facing the people. Now, don’t get me wrong—some of the reactions of Democrats in that room is not something I absolutely love! But now Is a time to be vigilient, engaged, resistant, and mobilize for the trying times ahead! If you see something you dont like, find others the feel the same way as you, and get involved in the process!!!

We are in for a rough few of years ahead of us, and I hope and pray for the best for everyone.
