If you know Wabba, you know he doesn’t wait for someone else to fix things. He just gets to work. Since Hurricane Melissa, he’s been out near Blue Hole every day helping families in Brighton and Little Bay who’ve lost their homes and everything inside them.
These are our neighbors. The people who cook your food, share their stories, and make this part of Jamaica feel like home. Some have lost everything. Others are trying to rebuild with what little they have left. Still, they keep showing up for each other with heart, strength, and hope.
We’ve partnered with a registered charity to make sure every donation goes safely and directly to the families who need it most. Wabba is working closely with them to guide where the help is needed right now.
If you can give, please do. Even a small amount goes a long way toward rebuilding a roof, replacing a bed, or putting food on the table.
And if you can’t give today, please share this post. Every share helps more people see what’s happening and gives these families a better chance to recover.

Update from Blue Hole Mineral Spring
We want everyone to know that Wabba and our team at Blue Hole Mineral Spring are safe. Power is out across the area, and there’s been heavy damage. Many trees are down, and several roads are still blocked.
This storm was stronger than anything the community has been through before. It will take time to understand the full extent of what’s been lost and what it will take to rebuild.
We’re deeply grateful that our crew is okay. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with messages and concern. Your kindness means more than you know.
We love hearing from you and appreciate every comment and message. Please understand if we don’t respond for a while. There’s a lot to take care of here, and recovery has to be our focus right now.
Please keep our neighbors and the wider community in your thoughts as everyone begins the long process of cleanup and repair.

We’re finishing final preparations for the hurricane that’s heading our way, and this one looks like a monster.
If we lose a few crops or take some damage, so be it. Blue Hole can always be repaired. What matters most right now is that everyone across the island stays safe.
We’ve seen storms before and we’ll get through this one too, but please don’t take any chances. Check on your neighbors, secure what you can, and remember that things can be replaced. People can’t.
From our Blue Hole family to yours, stay safe and strong, Jamaica.
