5 جنوری 1949 : اقوام متحدہ نے اپنے ہی چارٹر کے برخلاف جموں کشمیر کے عوام سے حق آزادی چھین کر انھیں انڈیا اور پاکستان میں سے کسی ایک کی غلامی کا انتخاب کرنے کا شرمناک آپشن دیا تھا. جموں کشمیر کے عوام مکمل آزادی و خود مختاری چاہتے ہیں.

Five dozen members of UK and European parliament have signed a joint letter to the President of India, Parnab Mukhurjee, asking him to authorise the return of mortal remains of Kashmiri indepdence leader Maqbool Butt to his family in Kashmir. The memorandum will be handed to the Indian High Commissioner in London on the 31st anniversary of the hanging of Maqbool Butt in Tihar jail on 11 February, 1984. Members of the pro-independence JKLF are holding a protest demonstration on the occasion.
