Defense Ordinance No. (2) for the year 2020
Issued in accordance with the provisions of the Defense Law No. (13) of 1992
In accordance with the provisions of paragraph (a) of Article (4) of the Defense Law No. (13) of 1992 - and due to the emergency conditions in our region and the world as a whole, and to prevent the spread of epidemics, I decide to issue the following defense order:
1. It is prohibited to move and roam people in all regions of the Kingdom, starting from seven in the morning on Saturday, 3/21/2020 until further notice.
2. All shops in all regions of the Kingdom will be closed. On Tuesday morning, 24/202020, specific times will be announced that allow citizens to fulfill their necessary needs and with the mechanism that will be announced at the time.
3. The ban excludes persons authorized by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense whose nature of their work requires the maintenance of public facilities.
4. As for the emergency medical cases, citizens must inform the General Security / Civil Defense to take the necessary measures to protect their health and safety as per the rules.
5. Anyone who violates the provisions of this defense order and the communications issued by the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense pursuant to it, shall be liable to immediate imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year.
