✨ Step into the enchanting world of Mino Washi at the 2026 Mino Washi Akari Art Exhibition! This unique event showcases illuminated artworks created using Mino Washi, traditional Japanese paper with over 1,300 years of history! 📜

Featuring works made by professional artists as well as creative elementary and junior high students, the historic streets of Mino becomes beautifully illuminated by the gentle glow of washi lanterns. The combination of innovative art, the timeless tradition of Mino Washi, and the charming Edo-period townscape creates a magical atmosphere, perfect for an evening stroll!

⛰️ Watch the stars from over 2,000 meters above sea level! Shinhotaka Ropeway is located high up in the Northern Japanese Alps. Deep in the mountains and far away from the glow of city lights, the star-filled sky here is truly unforgettable. ✨

🧥 🔦 At this high altitude, temperatures can get chilly after sunset, so be sure to bring a jacket to stay warm and a flashlight is also recommended!

🌟 The highlight of the festival is the collection of intricately decorated yatai floats, which have been carefully preserved for centuries.
