📚 Join us on October 2 for Translator Talk: Ginny Tapley Takemori!

Takemori is widely recognized for her translations of works by modern and contemporary Japanese authors, including Murata Sayaka, Nosaka Akiyuki's "Grave of the Fireflies", and Inaba Mayumi's "Mornings with My Cat Mii". Hear about her experiences as a translator, her approach to literary translation, and the ways in which language, culture, and close reading intersect.

The talk will be moderated by Mariko Nagai, Professor and Co-Faculty Advisor for Asian Studies at TUJ, followed by a Q&A with the audience.

✨ The first five student attendees will receive a free copy of "Mornings with My Cat Mii".

🔗 Registration is not required, but encouraged. Link in bio!
