At the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly, Kenya reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda, particularly across the Great Lakes Region.

Kenya is calling for the guaranteed and meaningful inclusion of women in formal peace processes, increased financing for WPS National Action Plans, stronger recognition of women-led organisations and zero tolerance for impunity for sexual and gender-based violence in conflict.

As Kenya implements its Third National Action Plan on UNSCR 1325, with county-level implementation frameworks, we remain committed to ensuring that women’s voices are at the table—from negotiations and mediation to implementation and monitoring.

Women’s meaningful participation is not an option in peacebuilding. It is essential to sustainable, legitimate and durable peace.

Please avoid fake news and misinformation. I will NOT be vying for any political seat. Let’s stick to the facts and stop spreading false information.

Kwa sasa, I am deeply focused on supporting H.E. President William Samoei Ruto’s “The Plan” and his re-election bid. My focus remains on advancing the President’s agenda and supporting the work being done for our country.

Facts over rumours. Development over misinformation.

The Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services is strengthening Kenya’s coordinated childcare system for children aged 0–4 through action at national and county levels.

On the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), the Ministry will convene a Pan-African High-Level Dialogue to bring together National Govt , County Govt , childcare implementation organisations, development partners and funders to discuss the vision for quality childcare in Kenya and the importance of coordinated action within a devolved system.

I look forward to discussing our reform priorities.
