The forum held at Bomet discussed ways of promoting Court Annexed Mediation as an Alternative Dispute Resolution system and information sharing among stakeholders in preparations for the upcoming general elections.

12/01/2022: Bomet Law Courts get sensitized on the court annexed mediation process, an alternative form of dispute resolution.
The two day workshop organized by the court annexed mediation committee saw the Judicial Officers, Staff, and the Court Users Committee (CUC) Members taken through understanding the mediation process, outfit, and criteria for screening for files for referral to mediation.
The team resolved to be enthusiastic champions and implementers of the court annexed mediation as a tool to enhance social transformation through access to justice.

22/12/2021: Bomet Law Courts, in partnership with the department of children's services, Law Society of Kenya, and other court users committee members, visited AIC Baby Home at Mogogosiek.
The team donated assorted foodstuff, clothing among other items, as they shared and celebrated Christmas eve with the kids and resolved to look for support towards purchasing the commercial washing machine to assist in the laundry.
The baby home, managed by the AIC Church, has 45 children aged four years and below drawn from various parts of the region.

21/12/2021: Bomet Law Courts Head of Station Hon. Lilian Kiniale, in collaboration with World Vision International, organized a childrens' opens day at Chebunyo centre in Chepalungu Sub-county.
The forum, which brought together local administration officers, the police, faith-based community leaders, Law Society of Kenya, ODPP, and children rights volunteers, sensitized the public on children rights to compulsory basic education, protection from abuse, neglect, harmful cultural practices, and all forms of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV).
The stakeholders resolved to promote an accountable, coordinated, efficient, effective, and consultative approach in children justice issues.
