THE DEVOLUTION OF A LADY.

Below age 16 a woman is like KITUI, naïve, has a long way to go and attracts very little attention

Between 16 and 18 she is like TURKANA, developing oily wells and hence under constant attack from women rustlers (Team Mafisi)

Between 19 and 20 she is like NYERI, the centre of attention, emotional, sporadic and as Hon. Mary Wambui from the county put it, “She - is -no -Ronger -afraid –of- ‘eRections’ ”

Between 21 and 25 a woman is like KAKAMEGA, very fertile, wild, naturally beautiful and with smooth and well curved river banks!

Between 26 and 30 she is like MACHAKOS, highly sophisticated, well managed and her Governor takes care of her. She is the dream destination for rich investors.

Between 31 and 35 she is like NAIROBI, very hot, always busy and looks expensive. She is more artificial than natural. 'Team mafisi’ have had the best of her.

Between 36 and 40 a woman is like MOMBASA, slow to act, confident of herself and slowly aging. Although not extremely hot, she is fairly warm hence a good destination during holidays.

Between 41 and 50, she is like KISUMU, Her sons and daughters have grown up and famous all over. Nyakisumo is proud of herself. She however suffers from mismanagement by the owner and needs a lot of reconstruction to remain attractive.

Between 51 and 60, she is like MARSABIT/ISIOLO/WAJIR....Stopped experiencing rains! (hakunyeshi). Fairly wide. The climate is too frigid and scares away investors.

Between 61 and 70 she is like KWALE, possess very rich history but the future doesn't look bright. The county currently, instead of the former soft pumpkins, she now has coconuts hanging on the palms.

75 + a woman is like GARISSA, stays alone, and has funny moods. Every Kenyan knows where she is but none can dare venture there. Any seed planted there never germinates.

The current polarisation of the National politics is of great concern to all Kenyans.
The Sabasaba narrative has been totally mis-interpreted. Sabasaba was meant to celebrate those heroes who lost their lives in fighting neo-colonialism and oppressive regime as by then.
The call by opposition for a National dialogue or otherwise Revolution to address: Insecurity, Devolution, IEBC overhaul, Corruption and National Cohesion, has sparked differing opinions and reactions from the citizens.
The Pro-Government, Anti-Government segregation and Ethnic Profiling has made people flee their homes and others buy weapons for their defence and fear of attacks as per reports.
In this context I choose to: (i) Preach and practice peace.
(ii) Take a neutral ground on the matter.
(iii) Live harmoniously with everyone despite different political affiliations, race, backgrounds, ethnicity, colour, gender or religion.
(iv) Respect and at all times uphold the National constitution and its provisions (Supreme Law of the land)
(v) Respect life, freedom and rights of every citizen.
(vi) Refuse to be used politically to cause harm or voilence.

I'm Kenya and Kenya is me.

MY THOUGHTS ON UHURU AND RAILA
Raila owns a gas company that supplies gas
to Heritage hotels owned by Uhuru Kenyatta.
Then Raila takes the CORD meeting to Great
Rift Valley Lodge which is owned by Uhuru
Kenyatta. Raila and Uhuru refer to each
other as brothers. Raila wants dialogue with
Uhuru Kenyatta and Uhuru invites Raila for
tea. In all circumstances, when Raila and
Uhuru meet, they always shake hands and
smile to each other. They don't fight.
Now, Uhuru opposes Raila's rallies and sends
a great number of security officers to ensure
all is well in those meeting. Raila cannot be
touched because he is guarded by
government police force.
When the big people are busy doing business
stealing away what our sweat has brought,
some fool is busy abusing and hurting his or
her fellow poor citizen in the name of
tribalism. I wish our poverty at grassroots
level would bring us closer to each other to
make us work against the rich and grab some
of their wealth.
So, don't tell me Luos, Kikuyus, Kambas,
Kalenjins, Luhyas, Merus, etc. Everyone is
struggling to make ends meet. Merus are
crying, Luhyas are mourning, Luos are
wailing, Kikuyus are weeping, Kalenjins are
grieved and others are complaining sadly for
the poor state of the economy. We all in the
same boat and if it sinks, we either perish
together or survive together

Let me dissect for you the
chronology of 'Rwanda in the
making'... When the first canon
is fired, you will celebrate and
bay for 'their' blood. Reports will
start trickling in that some enemies have been killed in
Coast, Rift Valley and the
shanties in Nairobi, this will
turn your celebration into... a
frenzy. 4 days later, the mood
will change, no longer getting the basic provisions such as
food, your celebration will be
cut short to attend to more
urgent matters, that is, fending
for yourself. 2 weeks down the
line, when your energy levels have ebbed to the lowest,
reports will reach you that your
enemy has regrouped and is
coming for your neck and that
of your loved ones. You will now
abandon the quest for food to that of saving your own life.
International news media will
show you, and your kin, carrying
mattresses heading to a safe
haven, most likely a church. You
will reach the church and much to your horror, find thousands of
people, many from your
perceived enemy tribe also
camped there, fighting for the
little provisions donated by the
UN. That night it will rain heavily and exposed, hungry,
scared and nursing a deep
machete wound on your most
loved one's forehead, the slow
realities of 'Rwanda in the
making' will start sinking in. If you are still surviving one month
down the line, 30kgs down from
your usual weight, you will start
wondering who is fighting who,
since the camp is cosmopolitan
and you are all fighting for basic survival not caring who comes
from which tribe. But that's just
the beginning. The next day,
your camp will be raided, 5 of
your loved ones will be
slaughtered and you will be lucky to escape with a bullet
wound on your right leg. UN will
now heap you into lorries and
transfer you to another camp. In
excruciating pain and feverish
from your infected leg, the second reality of war will hit
you: what the hell is the fight all
about? You will die 3 days later,
from neglect really since people
around you are so used to
seeing others die to bother about your feeble groans from
your leaking tent. 4 months
later, corpses, including yours,
will be buried in a mass grave
as the lieutenants that started
the war sit at a table in some hotel in Kampala to craft
another 'power-sharing' deal.
There will be relative calm as
the vultures enjoy the spoils of
war, the politicians will be back
to their cosy offices... My point is, when the drums of war are
sounded, everyone is a
theoretical winner but the
reality is so different a few
months later. What's more, war
does not guarantee equality, it dehumanizes and traumatizes
people. Every little thing you've
worked for goes... I will leave
you with this, tribe is not your
enemy, people that sit in ivory
towers from all political divide and subdue you are. Change will
come when you start
demanding accountability right
from your county upwards. Have
a blessed and peaceful day."
Let's join hands and use social media to preace peace
